It wasn't till years later i was actually interested in finding out what happened and when. I can only imagine the good music that would be made right now if he didn't pass.

I've heard a few of their songs growing up but wasn't a big fan. Over the years i've learned how talented this band was and the golden voice of Freddie. He is one of the very few that stand out amoung all the artist of all time. Love this song. I was a freshman in 1991and didn't even know any of the songs from them.  I'm glad i can get glimpes like this from youtube to get great footage of one of the best bands of all time.

It's been over 20 years but I lost my Uncle to AIDS in 1990. Freddie Mercury died the following year so Queen and Freddie both hold a special place in my heart.

This song makes be cry to this day. I'm 30 years old now and I was only 9 years old when my Uncle David passed away. The pain never leaves. I've said it many times but my one wish is that I could know my Uncle now that I'm grown.

Today, take the time to let someone know you love them. In the end all we have are memories. Make them great

I prefer to remember the flamboyant, vibrant, and overflowing Freddie of Bohemian Rhapsody, or the ontop of the world Freddie of Live Aid. But, I admire him so much for his strength, courage, and dedication battling a debilitating often crippling fatal disease. He had that glorious wonderful voice all the way through, it never once diminished. Freddie, we still love you to! Miss you so much!

I have always known of Queen, but only the really popular songs such as Bohemian Rhapsody and We Will Rock You. Last week I saw two documentaries - one on Queen and another on Freddie Mercury himself - and I've become absorbed with both the band and Freddie's background story. Aside from his powerful voice and amazing stage persona, how can you not love him, despite his sexual orientation and other things people judged him for? No one can and will ever compare to him.

This is so sad, he looks so thin, makes me cry.

My boyfriend has Aids, the way he got it wasn't his fault.

But at the start of taking his medication he got this thin, it was a very scary time, he couldn't leave the house and risk getting any colds etc.After a few months, the medication made everything stable, and he is very strong now, his immune system is much stronger. He as a near normal life expectancy now. Such a shame we lost freddie before these great medications were available. :-(
