Beautifully done and that tuning is the one I like the best by miles. Why did Keef change, so much more blues in open D or E. The stones could have been cosmic rather than becoming a much lesser more repetitive rock band. Those early songs ... Wow
I think you know this and just made a mistake but if you're tuned to Open E and capo the 8th then your open strum is actually a C. But this sounds great and I agree it sounds like the old stuff. If you watch recent Stones concert footage it seems that nowadays Kieth plays this in Open G capoed at the fifth - again giving you a C with a little different timbre.
That guitar is extradinary. What type of strings and pick are you using? I almost feel sorry for that microphone. That thing will definitely cut through the mix. How do you like your Marshall acoustic amp?
Pretty damn good......original.....great guitar.....you made it your own.....you nailed the guitar if felt like I could almost hear the whole Stones band behind u
The guitar sounds friggin awesome. One thing tho: dont try to reach that high. Sometimes I do it myself and then i notice it sounds horrible. Very nice overall performance ;)
Good job !! Very nice version... I´m learning in open G tuning with capo in 5th feet and it works very nice too, but I will try with open E... thank u for share !
Thanks Tom. Open tunings give a very cool tone, and they're easy to play. Keith is the master of this type of playing. Thanks for your good words my brother.

@52692669 "Is this a acoustic guitar?" I'm afraid that whatever way I answer that question I will sound like a jerk so I won't answer at all.

You forgot the bridge . .
Of all the versions Keith plays, my favorite is when they play the bridge.

@archambault65 With a capo on the fifth fret, I believe that's in Open G tuning. That's what I've heard at least.
redlinechavez 1 year ago
I saw Keith play it in open G with a capo on the 5th fret, but it sounds just as effective in open E.

"Eyyyyy Tony! Dis guy's a f**kin mook"
