You know, I've been a wrestling fan for many years, yet I never could figure out one thing: What was the logic behind putting such random things as road signs and cookie sheets under the ring? Granted they can do some damage, but that's just odd.

I'm probably in the minority here, but during the first couple months of the "new" ECW's existence I thought it was actually pretty cool. Not quite as extreme as the original, of course, but it bore some of its hallmarks. You had originals like Roadkill, Doring, Sandman, Dreamer, etc, Kelly Kelly's original "exhibitionist" gimmick, weapons-based matches like this one, etc. Had a certain old-school feeling to it. Shame that it became just another brand like Raw and Smackdown shortly after.
