when i beat safer sephiroth the first time, i ended up w-summoning KotR with both slots and miming with my next character (i can remember my team being cloud, nanaki (i prefer to call red by his true name) and vincent, i don't remember the turn order, this was years ago), i was lvl 99, so it took 2 characters' actions to kill him (though it only took 3 KotR casts)

Sephiroth's HP increases based on the number of level 99 characters you have and if you used KotR on Jenova.

It was the only one that consisted of Real/proportional characters instead of midgets like FF7. It was the first one to use Full motion FMV's for final fantasy that looked amasing. FF8 was also the first on too consist of a Lyrical Soundtrack within the game and the First to consist of 4 playable game disk. Just Face it, Final Fantasy 8 is the better game and allways will be. Plus lionhart has movement, it isnt like omnislash where it's the same horisontal/vertical slashes in the same place. Lionheart is more fancy..and looks alot better. Bollocks Krytex, Safer Sephiroth has 75,000hp UNLESS you use KoTR (Knights of The Round) on Jenova Synthesis, then his HP goes to 145,000 (I would know, I uses KoTR on JS, and when I fought OWA (One Winged Angel/Safer Sephiroth), It took 2 KoTR attacks (55,000 + damage per cast!) and one Omni-Slash (25,500+ damage per Limit Break!) to bring him to 10K health! Dumbarse, I'm an FF7 Pro, I beat Safer Sephiroth with JUST Cloud, and with the Buster Sword! And I'll do it again!

There's nothing off. Ultima weapon does damage according to how much HP you have, and these guys may have just been level 60 or 70, with lots of HP+ and MP+.

Of all the people i watched them beat sephiroth at lvls 70 80 85 they still aren't fast at attacking sephiroth...if you would have started over and killed eveything in your path then by the time you get to sephiroth you'll be at a lvl 99 like i was then the rest of the game would be a breaze...

I've seen this one video that involves a party fighting Emerald Weapon, the player somehow managed to equip certain types of materia that gave Cloud infinite Limit ability. Then when they fought Emerald Weapon, the guy used Omnislash like, 10 to 20 times on him. I think the attacks did about 6000 points of damage each.

It was obviously hacked, did you see how many spells Cid had available, 19 weapons and armour carry is 8 slots each. I completed the game at level 80+ and every single attack cloud made did 9999 damage even with the standard melee attack. level 99 only maxes out defence and magic with cloud. Safer Sepiroths HP depends on Clouds level, at lvl99 i would expect it to be VERY high much more than 80,000. Their IS no doubt it was hacked.

Clearly you've never defeated Emerald/Ruby weapon or mastered all Magic Materia? Cid was equipped with Master Magic paired with All.

Ruby and Emerald are pretty easy when you know how. K o r linked with HP Absorb for ruby. Phoenix linked with final attack for Emerald. If you linked materia with master all you would have 15 spells max. Safer sephiroth is alot more difficult to defeat at lvl 99 much harder than ANY of the weapons, because he has few weaknesses. Ill give you an example, at lvl 80+ i used Bahamut Zero 8 times for 9999 damage each time and K O R 4 Times for roughly 6000 each strike and he was still standing.

Safer Sephiroth has 80,000HP. Emerald Weapon has 1,000,000 and Ruby has 800,000. Given than Omnislash has 15 attacks, and on my video the average hit was 7k, simple calculation show that I totalled 105,000HP of damage, give or take a few thousand. I assure you that my game was not hacked in anyway, I do not own a cheating device. It's jsut hardcore FFVII playing! We all do it!

Safer sephiroth has 80,000 hp and with omni-slash it hits about 15 times and generally by then you've leveled up enough to do around about 8,000 to 9,999 damage so that would take him out with that no hack or gameshark needed im late seeing this vid and i sounded like a total nerd lol but oh well i had to get that off my chest reading the comments.
