@Lcacique God doesn't want to send anyone to Hell. He came and died so no one would have to go there. He gave His life just for you and now it is your turn to either accept Him or reject Him. He could have destroyed Adam and Eve at their moment of disobedience. Instead He taught them how to sacrifice animals for their sins. The Bible says without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sin. Jesus came and was the perfect Lamb, perfect sacrifice, because He is sinless.

hell is only logical alternative to NOT being with God who created the cosmos and all that you depend on for life. Love is the only appropriate motive for God to create the beauty and diversity of nature, yet you reject God and fail at life, only to be discarded at death because you rejected your reason for being alive.

@tighten11234 The Bible tells us and I believe what the Bible says, that anyone who does not accept Jesus Christ as God and accept His sacrifice on the cross for their sins that they can not go to Heaven. Jesus was the perfect sacrifice because He is sinless. God isn't a mean God He loves us. He gave His life for us. What more could He do? All we have to do is accept His sacrifice and then He will do the rest.

@TammyS64 Yes, actually. Proteins function for structure, as well as enzymes which transfer cellular messages. DNA is translated into RNA which transcribes into proteins. But that's all very basic, and to talk about them in full would require a lot of time and typing.
@N3B0R3D Well then you know that a protein can't work unless all of the components are there all at the same time. Evolution would not work because if any component of the protein is missing then they can't do there job. Proteins are a must to a living organism. Proteins are like little machines, take away any part of it and it won't work.
@TammyS64 Actually they are often times "mistakes" in lines of RNA, whether it's wrongly translated or for many other reasons. This is how genetic diseases come about. Just because there is a "mistake" does not mean it can't work, it means that something will go wrong. If you don't understand something, do research, don't tie supposed "holes of the science" to prove your religion. And even if it were ture you still don;t understand how evolution works.

Where does the motivation to worship something you can't see or touch come from? Why do humans worship things innately? Where does faith come from? It's in us, were made in the image of God. But here's something I struggle with. Is faith in God truly a persons choice? If we are sinners, how can we suddenly believe and accept God? We can't. Like this Atheist, all humans are unable to worship the creator in full. We're blind. True salvation is a supernatural act from God that changes the heart.

If someone claims to be a Christian and doesn't show it in their life then they either have never known Him or they are just at a bad place in their life and will return to Him at some point. At 8 years old, I moved to Hawaii, Where I got to experience many other religions. At 14 I didn't see the point in having any one religion. So I addopted 3 or so. I did not read the bible, Nor any other holy text. I was just all accepting. Being an atheist today(Still only 17) I still accept all religions. 1/2

@tighten11234 God is the One who makes the rules not us. God says that sin can not be in His presence. Once we ask Jesus to be our Savior then He washes that sin away. Then and only then can we go to Heaven. God no longer sees our sin, He sees the blood of Jesus Christ that has been applied to our hearts. That person is not better than anyone else just forgiven.

And, the only way to be "saved" from this holy judgement is to accept Him as their savior? That's a bit of a catch 22 isn't it? He made us with sin just so that we would have to go to him to be saved from how He created us. The Bible, as you may know, is written language. There is something quite interesting about written language, it has this thing called grammatical context which is key to understanding what it means. I didn't want to spend my days in it even as a christian. At least in hell the people would be interesting. And if you haven't caught on yet, I don't believe in any kind of after life. I'm a good person not because of some sky daddy, but because I choose to knowing no one is watching.
I often repent and seek forgiveness when I've done wrong, not to God and not because I fear eternal torture or crave eternal reward, but to those I have wronged because I am an empathic, caring human being and want to make things right. I also forgive (or at least try to) those who have wronged me. Harbouring a grudge rots the soul. Also, I have been crippled with guilt and learning to forgive myself has helped me to heal and move on. This has nothing to do with God's 'carrot and stick'.
If christians wouldn't be so damn pushy and just believed what they believed and be happy and not bother other people with it, we'd all be better off.

@TammyS64 Yes, actually. Proteins function for structure, as well as enzymes which transfer cellular messages. DNA is translated into RNA which transcribes into proteins. But that's all very basic, and to talk about them in full would require a lot of time and typing.

Just because there is a "mistake" does not mean it can't work, it means that something will go wrong. If you don't understand something, do research, don't tie supposed "holes of the science" to prove your religion. And even if it were ture you still don;t understand how evolution works.

I'm 110% sure that this guy has broken AT LEAST one commandment. I'm 100% sure that this man is a hypocrite. But because he is brainwashed, he twists his actions and words to fit his fantasy that is the bible.My dad is one these people, so I know his "kind" all too well. They could be the absolute worst person alive, and yet they wholeheartedly believe that they are holier than everyone and will be welcomed into heaven when Jesus comes back,which isn't happening. Would you leave heaven for this?

The Bible says in James 2:10 For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all. This is why Jesus came. @toxicityrckr No one, not even someone who has asked Jesus to be their Savior, is holier than the next person. They are just forgiven. If someone claims to be a Christian and doesn't show it in their life then they either have never known Him or they are just at a bad place in their life and will return to Him at some point. Just because a janitor says he is a banker his words do not make him a banker.

At 8 years old, I moved to Hawaii, Where I got to experience many other religions. At 14 I didn't see the point in having any one religion. So I addopted 3 or so. I did not read the bible, Nor any other holy text. I was just all accepting. Being an atheist today(Still only 17) I still accept all religions. 1/2

@tighten11234 God is the One who makes the rules not us. God says that sin can not be in His presence. Once we ask Jesus to be our Savior then He washes that sin away. Then and only then can we go to Heaven. God no longer sees our sin, He sees the blood of Jesus Christ that has been applied to our hearts. That person is not better than anyone else just forgiven.

All I know to tell you is that Jesus Christ loves and loved you so much that He gave His life for you. He is our role model. I remember telling my daddy when I was a teenager, "Daddy I can't live the life that God wants me to live, I can't be a Christian. But God is so good that He kept dealing with my heart and I did give my heart to Him. Now I understand.

Wow, this preacher has his priorities wrong. He's so concerned with being right that he just threatens the guy with Hell and judgement, rather than being kind.
This isn't what Christianity is about. Christianity is about forgiveness, acceptance, turning the other cheek.
You don't tell someone they're going to burn in Hell. That's not the way to win people over, and it doesn't show them you love them, as this preacher claims to.
This guy makes the rest of us look bad.

@crichmond77 Well, the Bible (which is God's word right?) threatens everyone with Hell and judgement even if they are completely innocent. And, the only way to be "saved" from this holy judgement is to accept Him as their savior? That's a bit of a catch 22 isn't it? He made us with sin just so that we would have to go to him to be saved from how He created us. If it was true, I wouldn't appreciate being coerced to bow to a God (or anyone) because my alternative is eternal torture.

The Bible, as you may know, is written language. There is something quite interesting about written language, it has this thing called grammatical context which is key to understanding what it means. Funny how most people opposed to the content of the Bible don't seem to grasp this simple concept.

This is not true. Second, it's funny how all those objections you just mentioned did not have grammatical context nor theological context. The pastor presented absolutely no evidence to support his position, didn't use any type of logical thought to interpret what the other man was saying, and attempted to use fear to coerce an agreement, yet the Atheist is the unreasonable one? I often repent and seek forgiveness when I've done wrong, not to God and not because I fear eternal torture or crave eternal reward, but to those I have wronged because I am an empathic, caring human being and want to make things right. I also forgive (or at least try to) those who have wronged me. Harbouring a grudge rots the soul. Also, I have been crippled with guilt and learning to forgive myself has helped me to heal and move on. This has nothing to do with God's 'carrot and stick'.
