First time I fished the event in Orkney (1967) year before this film, Jack Scott caught his British Record halibut of 70 lbs same day as a smashed the Scottish ling record with a specimen of 33 lbs from St John's head. It held the record until beaten off Holborn Head in Caithness during the EFSA European Championships in 1971. Tight lines: Mike Shepley
