Why am I british, no bloody rinks in anyones garden... Cost £80,000 ($128,000) to have a tiny rink in our gardens over here. The closest ice rink to me is a heap of crap. The ice in this video is better than the ice the rink has ever had.. They paid £2,000,000 to get the ice plant also. haha

i want to thank you for your video because i watched this early last year and it was one of the videos that really inspired me to build my own rink. this is my second year and the build went even smoother and the whole experience has been a total blast. we build a big bonfire in the back yard and have winter parties with family and friends, and nobody minds that summer is still a long way off. we are creating memories that all of the kids will never forget.

We have very similar...but 1.5" powdercoated pipe. The 2" get really expensive.

There is aguy on eBay that sells the big ones for $150 each.

I have a 75 x 40 backyard rink What we do is we have 5 people, and 4 stand by each corner, one just making sure everything goes well.next walk each corner to the middle,hand the ends off to one side and the people who handed it off take the bottom and walk the folded end INTO the wind. if you walk it the other way it will become a huge sail and a nightmare. once its flat have the 5th guy make sure everything is neatly folded, any questions just ask.

dude i love your idea with the boards i have a rink and i make the ice first by puting it inside wood planks. it doesnt work to good and you lose alot of space. but its alot easer to do that might not be good though
