i did not read through all the comments,,but what mufflers may I ask are you running..I have an 04 cobra(a camaro too hence the screen name) with magnaflow magnapacks dumped before the rear right now..I did have single chamber flowmasters on as well dumped before the rear.It sounds like you have a chambered muffler of some sort????

Its a battery cut off.. His battery is located in the trunk and if track safety needed to cut the power they would push the rod in and it would shut everything off (used in accidents or emergencies)
