Two years ago, H & M clothing introduced a line of skirts for. . men. In an opening segment of The View, no less than Barbara Walters herself predicted that boys and men in the future will be wearing skirts. (Google it) Surprised me to see her saying it but I'm all for it. I"ve been wearing skirts now for 30 years. It's just clothing. Men all around the world wear some form of tunic, sari, sarong, kilt, daishiki or wrapper. Western men seem to be hung up on "issues". Let's go.
@kilts4u2 Yeah, i've seen it too. That was where i first heard of it. The clip used to be on youtube but it got removed. I don't think the skirts were ever released in the U.S though. I called the store once and they said they didn't carry "skirts for men". It's probably only in the European H & M outlets.

Skirts & pants no way are differences of anatomy---only bras & athletic supporters qualify. Bras were known in Minoan civilization (National Geographic) if women in pants are abomination they WILL go to hell--yet, no prophecy exists in Scripture foretelling that after 1950, MOST women would end up in hell due to wearing pants! @wordprophet I think you're misinterpreting this verse to begin with. I don't think it's condeming the wearing of clothing in itself, but pretending to be something you're not. I'm pretty sure it's saying that women should not pretend to be men, and men should not pretend to be women. Which would be a form of lying. You know, the way Abraham lied to the Pharaoh when they went to Egypt and he lied and said that he was a woman.

It requires no interpretation. It simply means what it says.

But despite disagreeing with one another, we can still disagree respectfully without trying to tear the other person down. You don't want to wear a type of skirt that would be designed FOR men, such in the way that some pants are designed for women and some designed for men, then that's fine. Nobody is forcing it on anybody. Just pushing for the allowance of those who wish to.
One does have to take into account the time in which it was written; the dark ages with the priests acting as lawyers, Roman law becoming Church law etc. In Rome men would escape after commiting a crime by dressing like a woman, hence Deutrimony should be seen in my opinion as codified chirch law, which is abollished by the present day law system. If not we could, based on the same chapter of Deutrimony, put women who committed adultry to death by stoning them.

The word of God; written by men and a few rabbis decided which books it would contain. I don't think so. I have also found many contradictions in the Bible.

At 1:20 looks like an Egyptian great colors. Last fall I had discussion with 87 year old woman (condition like 65) and she knew that long ago "men wore dresses" she's a Catholic. She's talented at alterations, so she did lots of skirt alterations for me. More to come! That was AFTER I contacted several alterations shops and a local chapter of a women's sewing group NONE opted to give any response! "Skirts are a controlled substance available only by the prescription of being FEMALE!"

@thelonelyslayer , I know that women were not allowed to wear trousers for some centuries. Meantime men were banned from wearing a skirted garment. Now women have rights to wear whatever they like, we are still restricted. By whom? Mainly by ourselves, many guys even don't know they can wear skirts and don't act like a women.
