The multitrack isn't available, but 5.1 surround-sound mixes are. In 2007, all their albums except the very first one were released as two-disk packages: a 5.1 mix and a new stereo mix. Typically the center channel of the 5.1 contains only the vocals. An ingenious fan has pulled Peter's vocal from the center channel of this release, and added it to the instrumental version on the CD "Genesis for Two Grand Pianos" by Yngve Guddal and Roger Matte.
One of my favorite Genesis songs from Nursery Cryme which was the album that got me into Progressive Rock in the first place. This piano version is almost equally good. I like the piano over the synths but the overall band arragements are better in the album released version.
I've been searching for the Genesis Archive #3 album since I heard your version, but only just now I discovered you mixed it yourself... Too bad, I really like it and would have loved it to have it on cd!
Ahah! Quote from Steve Hackett: "Two Norwegian piano geniuses (Yngve Guddal and Roger T. Matte since you ask) have arranged some of those fiendishly complicated Genesis tunes for two pianos and recorded the result on two Steinways. "
Well, that could be Tony Banks? Not sure, it sounds a little too dynamically heavy for him & maybe a little too flowery? That's a really wonderful job of synching in the vocals. This is a wonderful piece of music. Genesis really outclassed everyone when it came to writing songs.
I dont understand when at " where are you my father" the chords is different for me like three side live

Very interested in where this version comes from... it doesn't sound like Tony Banks' style of playing. Any more info?

The piano is ripped off the CD "Genesis for two Grand Pianos" and the voice is mixed out of a remastered Album version.
Peter's too quiet in some parts (and you cut some vocal parts... please try to correct)
Sorry for my bad english.

the voice seems not to come from the album Nursery cryme, maybe it's from some live version. Or maybe there are more than one voice mixed...dunno :)
