In the videos. You have a slightly green tinted toolbar, which has height, location line, etc. I am running revit 2012. When I attempt to add a wall, where can I access this toolbar so that I can adjust the height of the wall.
@mickstarify I think I have to download a template. Do you know where I can download any? I have red and many people have the same problem that they have Revit 2012 without template =(
@lolflakes When you first made the project, as a template did you choose the Default one or the construction one? To test, make a new one (making sure its set to default/defaultUS) and then see your wall selection. I haven't added anything so its alll from a default revit 2011 installation
@mickstarify None I think? When I click new a window appear and asks about "Which syste of measurment.." Imperial or Metric... I pick and then the project starts....
@nessbess100 Well i guess you could do it from 00 foundation with 01 lower as height, but you should probably try it with the retaining wall if you can find it
@mickstarify I worked out how to change it to depth. But I can't work out how to get a foundation wall or retaining wall. My library is no where near as big as yours. It might have something to do with the fact that I downloaded an Australian template & family library (from the autodesk site)?
Hi, First i wanna thank you for you basic tutorials i learnt much. second my english is bad. The third was a question every time i draw the first wall ''basic wall retaining concrete 300 mm''------------------------------------------------------------------ i get the message Warning: None of the created elements are visible in Floor Plan: 0 View. You may want to check the active view, its Parameters, and Visibility settings, as well as any Plan Regions and their settings.
@gvdw100 i doubt thats it, its probably something obvious that you forgot, or are doing wrong as it doesnt sound a like a bug, if you cant work it out, maybe try starting again and see if the problems still there, also googles your friend
Let's keep in touch because I wanna learn as much of these 2011 programs before the 2012 comes out ok!! learning Maya, Softimage, 3D Max, 3D max design,AutoCAD, and Auto CAD Archit. too.

for the second wall, added on the '01 lower level', i only have a 'height' option, not a depth option?
I am also just using a generic concrete 300mm wall because retaining is not an option?
Thanks!
