Very nice tone, and vibrato. That is almost my exact interpretation. Yet one thing i could never get vibrato to do is maintain a smooth tone instead of going to reedy, yet I haven't heard a saxophone player that could do it. Yet maybe it is also the video. Anyways, Very good job.
noice! i thought it sounded great. how do you do that kind of vibrato? sort of a dumb question but i have to play this piece for my band audition and i am so bad at vibrato. any tips?
quit breathing so god damn much, and u were horrible at the running 16th notes, u might wanna practice more than 4 days genius. and a good horn can only do so much for a crappy player
you teach people and you can't go down from octave key to without cleanly? Not to mention your vibrato consistently exceeds your sound, and you add no musicality. I'd recommend rethinking this youtube channel of yours...
i thought it was really good i would suggest making your pianos and pianissimos more dramatic though. This is my solo right now for 11/12 all district band im a little nervous about it xD.
great stuff..Will you eventually post all of the pieces? I have 2 pieces that I need to hear that I dont think you have posted. I will bring my music home tomorrow and let you know so maybe you can help me out?
It sounds very good. I dont know if its the camera or the reed but I think you would sound perfect if you practice long tones on the high stuff like the high A's, the middle D's, and the high C sharps. Overall good job.
I like your tone, but your phrasing was a little weird. You were taking breaths at some odd places, and not really completing phrases. Plus, there were some notes cut short. Practice chromatic long tones on whole from the bottom of the horn to the top at the slowest speed you can using a metronome; try to only breath every four and a half measures (four whole notes, and tie the last whole note to a half note). I usually do this at a speed of 45-47 bpm, but I would recommend starting faster.
Going into some of your breaths, it seemed like you were sacrificing the last note in order to get a good breath. a little one dementional in terms of dynamics. but definitely on the right path. Just look at picking up some tempo and planning out some musicality and you'll be on the right path.
your breathes are too long but overall nice job

also, make sure you dont slow down when the song gets hard, make the 16th runs "sound easy" but keep them up to tempo

nice sound and vibrato, try to add more dynamic contrast, and do take such long breaths, but overall nice tone,

some tone issues but maybe a new horn will fix that. i would stay with yamahas, they're good horns. I might play this for my gov. school audition.
