  • I disagree with running the engine using that hose, because i have a yamaha 4 stroke and the manual says that "never run the engine when you are doing a flush, using the hose on the side.

  • my 2005 Yamaha 90hp 4 stroker quit running due to water in the gas tank. Other than changing the fuel separator, what other steps should I do before running the motor?

  • Great thank you very much I needed that.

  • Very impressed with your video. Thank you for posting.

  • Hi Can you upload an carburetors repair video? my high speed jet are clogged. thanks

  • God knows how many people are going to destroy their engines running them on the hose attachment as this guy says to do. Did this guy Steve read the manual? The manual says never run your engine on the hose attachment!!! The hose attachment is for flushing the engine and does not provide water to the impeller. Read the manual Steve!!!!

  • Great video

    thanks a lot mate

    Cheers from Australia

  • There's alot of information you need if your doing comp test every plug comes out, must be done on warmed up motor.

  • Changing the lower unit oil is always good idea once year in colder climates. Water freezes and cracks lower units. Plus it's just smart maintance. No need to ever check level of oil and dont stuff extra in there your doing more bad than good. Fill plug, vent plug. Have both out fill through bottom once it comes out top unhook bottom put lower plug back in then upper your done. Dont forget new gaskets correct ones and big number 1 flat screwdriver Harbor Freight got em $1.99!

  • rectifier blows up when you cross positive to neg battery terminal or +to- maybe even disconnecting battery while its running.

  • True never run the motor with hose attachment setup good catch. I do prime with water through tube unhook then attach lower unit muffs. Ive never had a impeller problem even after my first boat lol and not a clue about outboards. If your ever turning the motor over for a service make sure landyard is off position you dont want to fry cdi. Fire extinguisher handy! Disconnect from battery is always good idea during storage or heck after boating.

  • why would you not take the top vent plug out, and check to see if the gear case level was correct? and even if your oil looked ok in the lower unit you should still do a pressure test and vaccuum test. these are simple test that will not let you waste money on oil. and dont use canadian tire gear oil. its full of graphite and it burns and doenst last worth shit. put evinrude hpf pro. will withstand 30% water if you dont know what a pressure tester is. recheck gearcase level, bubbles make oil low

  • The manual says NOT to run the motor, at all, with a hose attached to the flush adapter.

  • when i start to trim engine it starts to rev very loud its a 50yahama 4stroke

  • what will make a spark plug gap close while running my boat, have a 50hp suzuki 4stroke. 20hours on motor

  • i have a yamaha 40 four stroke 2004 and i need to take the power head of. How do i do that ???

  • Waxing the prop would make no difference whatsoever. What about the oil filter?

  • I bought a 1985 evinrude 30 hp 2 stroke outboard and have notice a little oil and some water in the base after running it for a while any clues and suggestions

  • I have a 2005 25 Horse F25ESDR. Need input on Prime Starter Assembly. I broke the portion off that goes into carb. Do I need to order a new PStarter unit or can I buy the bottom pieces alone? I hope this is understandable.

  • Thanks for the comments and the input!

  • Hello All and thanks for watchin. A Prop has to grip the water , if you wax it it wil loose Grip and slip. On the carb problem it's hard to diag online, Remember the E10 fuel runs at a 12 to 1 ratio and not 14.7 to 1. Carb engines may need to be up jeted to allow for this. Thanks All!

  • It wouldnt matter if you waxed the prop. Why do you say not to?

  • Hello

And thank you for this information
