I would make a fishing guide if I got some help, I mean I can't hold my camera and PSP at the same time. I actually mean one where I speak while I'm doing it, (The guide will include tips including the basics, like the green cursor, the fish icon and the tiny red bar underneath, all the way to extra tips on catching Whales, Barandy and Spearfish) BTW, I'd be able to make quite a decent guide, as I'm really good at fishing! As in never missing any fish now a days!
Wow... I have played this game for years and have never really understood why I was so bad at the fishing system. I think it's a great part of the game, and a lot of fun, and thanks to the info on the side of this video I was able to figure it out better and am catching better fish!
Thanks to StoneMonk I've re-purchased the game for a 3rd time now. I'm siimply trying to get far enough in the game to open all the fishing areas.... Thx so much for a re-kindled obsession.
As a side note..... BoF3 fishing never looked so good as it does on big wide-screened HD TV. It's now my favorite wind down activity after working a 3 day shift in the ER.
It's actually pretty simple, just move the green cursor left and right and keep it over the fish icon, reeling in is holding X button and it moves your green cursor to the left so you have to reposition it over the fish.
I think the Rainbow Trout is best as an item for going into the next part of the game as they restore 5 AP per rainbow trout.
This is actually back before your time I'm sure. It's for the Playstation before there ever was a playstation 2 or PSone in existence. Both the SNES (Super Nintendo Entertainment system) and the Sony Playstation were the best systems for the best RPG's ever. So long as younger generations can get over their graphics obsession, then there is hope for older games.
Manillo is like a demi-human (man beast with scales or something) However many run around the world so and they are all pretty much traders of the fish currency, XP
oh what exactly is back before your time? (NOT calling you old or anything) my guesses of whats before your time: Attari, The wheel, cant really think of anything else before attari
Atari, et cetera, I started on NES when I was young, and soon moved up to SNES. I mean "before one's time" in the following sense of the word: Where you yourself started but missed out on anything before your own start. I think that makes sense.
Sly Stallone's Extreme Fishing Challenge Pro Challenge Fishing. Player Vs. Fish Edition. Guuuuur, ready?

You just made me miss this game so much more. Think I'm gonna have to go out and get it off of e-bay or from vintage stock....
Btw, ever think the guys voice in the fishing seciotn sounded like Sly Stalone? Just my opinion.
Thanks for the wonderfull memories.
