  • :) Thanks for this beautiful video

    Ka Sundance

  • Ahaha! I saw this video in my recommendation bar and I didn't realize it was one of Harleys videos. I started freaking out when he started talking because I didn't see this face in the corner... Gave me a heart attack.

  • fine video durian rider... excellent.. excellent... excellent...

  • *ugh* ... who was that meth-head at the end? if he's so smart about good living and health, why does his teeth need a brushing?

  • durianriders ...it is not like you today...you are not even eating banana during your recording...

Sorry are you have any education in medicine ?

  • My rule goes like this, eat fruit in the morning and then have some to cure 3:30itis. Remainder of the day, eat as many vegies as you want. But I don't exercise so I eat more vegies than fruit. I stay away from oils and stuff although I do occasionally dress salads with half a teaspoon extra virgin olive oil, but thats extremely occasionally.

  • "Oh I'm gonna look over here...I'm gonna transmit my Kundalini essences to the moonlight cause it's that time of the month."

    HAHAHAHA so great.

  • I respect ancient ayurvedic wisdom. I follow the dosha thing only slightly though... but it makes sense to my body-intuition. Ayurvedic doctors really get it, they always tell their patients/clients to become vegetarian. However, they are into ghee + dairy. But to go 100% into the eat for you dosha...never made sense. I know ppl that still buy into "eating right for their blood type" bs... just an excuse to keep eating meat and fats. Love your vids, keep it up!!! Your determination is inspiring!

  • The high fiber/high carbohydrates, but low fat/ low protein works soooo much better for my diabetes. My blood sugar has been loads better and I haven't been consuming as much insulin as well. I really feel so much better and healthier. Thanks so much for this video; great insight to how sugar and fat effects your blood sugar. :)

  • diet can be a bitch !

  • this is me. every symptom lol. i hardly eat any fruit. time for a change.

  • How many calories should I consume, I am 5'7", but higher almost 90kg...but I lost a lot of weight already from not eating this way so I want to go full out on this...I want to see good weightloss.

  • THANK YOU FOR YOU

  • not only are you good looking but smart too if there were more people like you there be more knowledge out there and there be less woman starving them self

  • What if you don't have a sweet tooth but a salty one? I never tolerated sweets too well, I like them here and there on occasion but the majority of my food is salty because eating too much sweets revolts me and makes me not want to eat anymore at all. I am a vegan but I just can't get enough salt. How would someone like me be able to go on this high fruit diet?

  • @WatchThisCruelVideo have some rice and dump some soy sauce on top

  • @WatchThisCruelVideo I used to hate oatmeal 2 months ago, now I can eat it with just water in it.

  • Thanks so much. Really helped me. Was starting to figure that LFRV couldn't be done by me cos of hypoglycemic reactions some days.... and now makes sense.... not always reacting hypoglycemic-ally.....only sometimes ..... confusion removed..... because I ate high fat previous to eating fruit! And is true... fat is messing with my blood sugar... and really appreciate you explaining. I bet Fran is really grateful too.... I was on exactly the same path she was..Thanks to both of you for honesty

  • This guy is such a bad ass! :)

  • @thetay60 Have you not seen his other videos? People don't wanna hear the truth. Unless you've tried this yourself, please don't judge!

  • @durianriders Wait a minute. What happened to not counting calories?

  • I eat a lot of pistachios sometimes. I don't feel affected by them. I don't even exercise that much.

  • this guy is a douchebag.

  • Finally! A technical explanation!

This is the best vegan info I've gotten so far.

  • @vention4wh I agree. I disagree with durian's method of delivery sometimes, but this video was so incredibly informative. Made me think of Alton Brown and how much you can learn about the science behind how food works.

  • Hey does anyone know what application that was that he used to break down the foods according to calories and fat etc. Thanks

  • fuck diet is complicated.

  • @daniel987878 no, don't think of it as diet It's a lifestyle change.

  • Also, the sugar in fruits is primarily fructose which must be processed by the liver before entering the bloodstream, which we have a limited ability to do so. Only 15-20 grams can be utilized in one sitting while leaving the rest to be converted into triglycerides which contributes to a multitude of illnesses.. So how is eating extremely large servings of fruit beneficial?

  • @fyafyta13 Id like to see durianriders view on this

  • The longest living people on the planet, who live in the wilds of Siberia, consume a large amount of animal products. They eat small amounts of berries and root vegetables for some carbs, but their diet is primarily vegetables, eggs and organ meats.

  • @fyafyta13 One of the only people making sense on here.

  • @fyafyta13

Who told you that the longest living people are from Siberia? The longest living people live in areas where you can grow things pretty much all year round. People don't live long in Siberia. I'm Russian, I know that. Now, I didn't watch the video, I just answered to your comment.

  • @cosamoda Yeah, to correct that, it's the Abkhazians of Soviet Georgia.

  • I am about 5'10... and 170lbs, I work out every other day doing yoga. How many calories should I be aiming for?

  • Organic honey is good :]

  • "Just go and see different homeopaths, naturopaths, psychopaths, doctors and stuff". Brilliant. Keep up the great videos.

  • Who is the freak on the end of this video? I like 811, but how is bananas and dates going to give me a balanced diet? Sound deficient.

  • @mikecazzx

NO ONE is saying to limit your diet to dates and bananas ! eat a wide variety of raw vegan ripe food !

  • @AnatomicalALIGNMENT 30 bananas a day, Durian Rider and Freelee do say to use bananas and dates as the main source of calories, the staple food, the rice and beans of a LFRV diet. Look it up. I am trying to be 811rv by the way, so don't attack too harshly.

  • Who is th

  • I feel indoctrinated. it frightens me

  • You make me laugh, while I learn!!!

  • haha! ure hilarious! And so right! :P

  • Great videos mate, i've been watching them all arvo. At the moment i'm vegetarian but these are definitely helping me get my bearings before I try vegan.

The funny thing is 4 months ago i was overweight and felt I had low testosterone & have been eating loads of good fats to remedy it, and haven't felt better. although my energy levels have been mediocre, after watching this I looked up my caloric requirements and turns out i'm only getting 1/3 of what i need despite this being my best diet.

  • @HealthEuphoria If you love Harley, how could you not love Freelee? She's for all the things he's for. They both make amazing videos and put out great information. I think anyone who doesn't like Freelee is just jealous. :)

  • just to clarify 20 a week that is...

  • 30 bananas a day maybe at the moment in Brisbane I could afford 20 if I sell off my shares in silver.

  • I <3 Durianrider. His GF on the otherhand...

  • If we start out right, then we start out on something sweet, breast milk. I tried it once when I was nursing my baby, and it reminded me of cantaloupe.

  • 24:14 "if you need drugs to get through your day, you're eating wrong". I agree so I dont understand why I see you telling people all the time to get B12 injections. I like you Harley but I am beginning to have doubts. Do you walk the walk or just talk the talk?

  • @MickScarborough It is because the fruitarian diet is dangerous. Just look at some long time fruitarians, they do not have any muscle. It is dangerous. Look for facts on the most healthy and longliving people. They are raw vegans, but it is vitamin E thats the X factor. Vitamin E is also important for sex drive, something that fruitarians feel they arent having anymore. I would advice an low glycemic, high fat diet that exists of lots of greens, a little lean meat and lots of olive oil.

  • @ImaRiseToThaTop I hope not one person takes your ill advice to heart because lots of olive oil and some meat is fucking poison. I certainly dismiss you as a joke.

  • @MickScarborough Haha thats ok man. I just hope u will live a healthy life on something that works for u. peace

  • harley this is one of your best vids. really stepped up the quality and content and the message was congruent yet original. those larabars, organic food bars (for example) are an atrocious food combination.

  • @luvintherawlife Doug Graham has a book called Grain Damage. On facebook, he replied with this to someone asking if he eats sprouted quinoa. "No, I don't eat starch. Don't let botany fool you". Still, a cooked vegan diet is healthier than an animal "foods" diet. Keep enjoying the fruits and leafy greens :)

  • "Naturalpaths, homeopaths, psychopaths." LMAO!

  • @ 5:40 you say fat coats the cells so that the sugar cannot enter...could you please supply me with a link or resource as to where you found this information? i read 80/10/10 3 times and still have no found a scientific source that proves this to be a fact...thanks harley!

  • luv it Harley! makes sense

  • Do you suggest that people take a 180 paradigm shift and give up all meat at once and eat a plant- based diet?? I have given up meat after watching King Corn and Forks over Knives and I am finding it hard to say goodbye to seafood. Help!

  • Awesome video, Harley!! Thanks so much!

  • RIGHT ON ! :o)

  • Thanks harley true talk bro those superfoods david wolfe crackao bullsh# hes selling is all for them to make money and make your health worse. I totally understand what your saying and it just makes sense. Also i expirienced myself that too much fat slows me down and makes me tired and cant excersise and feel great soo that was my problem and now its all gone so in my opinion and experience the 80,10,10 diet is the best, soo thanx bro for the info peace be with you :)

  • What do you think about getting 2 or 3 raw free ranfe oganic eggs, like Goose? Duck or Chicken Eggs? An egg is just like a period. So no animals are hurt from you eating them. So that you can get B12? I know you say use patches or injections but to be honest never trusted big pharm. Prefer to eat more natural then use injections and shit. Basically What is a good book on getting B12 Naturally?

  • @TheaDragonSpirit The reason you're NOT on on b12 shots Steve is that you aint learned enough about em. If animal bits gave 100% insurance against b12 issues then why do we see the majority of b12 deficient people eating meat? Go ask your doctor how many patients they see with low b12 each week and ask em how many vegans are amongst that group. Interesting eh?

Big pharma is 99% evil and 1% awesome. If you cracked, burned, spilt, burst, shattered something, big pharma would be saving your life.

  • @durianriders - To be honest the reason am not on injections or patches is because am waiting to check with my doctor to see if am deficent. And Secondly because I have strong belief that anything big pharm do I can find in nature. And that so many african and indian tribes that had medican passed on for years got convinced they was morons and needed these drugs. There is book on it I forget its name now. But basically they end up seeling them back their own medican in pills form.

  • I don't and never will trust big pharma. I know that I found mushrooms that have have high B12 in am sure their will be away other then B12 injections. However I mostly want to know whats in B12 injections. What the ingrediance is. This is the most important thing to me.

  • @TheaDragonSpirit B-12 does not even come from the animal - they pick it up from the dirt, etc

  • Christ on crutches who is that wackjob at the end? He looks like a zombie.

  • Awesome video!! One of your best yet

  • mmmmm.. Chicken in royal jelly.

  • That dessert makes me wanna barf :( I have a nut intolerance, plus horrid indigestion when any fats are combined with fruits...Ugh. I used to eat like this regularly, and I felt more than absolutely awful. Plus, too much fat raises your triglycerides--that causes all kinds of junk within your body. After what I've been through, I would never condone any kind of high fat diet, raw or otherwise. It slows you down, gives you indigestion...yowza.

  • ‎"Transmutate my Kundalini essences to the moonlight!" LMAO!!!

  • Half a watermelon?! You're overeating!

  • Hi, I'm all for a high carb low fat vegan diet. It's really makes scene to me. But is all cooking bad? Cos I saw a documentary that showed how cooking potatoes helps the human body digest the startches inside and that has helped humans get more for their buck for for centuries. What do you think? Also what's your take on pasta and bread?

  • @WhatShouldMyNameBee He's going to tell you that cooked starches, like potatoes and rice, are good choices, but raw fruit is a better choice.

As for breads, try eating flour-free, sprouted wheat bread (Food for Life is the brand).

Cooked starches will fill easily your calorie needs, but they are lower in mineral density and should be eaten alongside green leafy vegetables. Plenty of fresh fruit should be a key part of your diet as well.

That's all just my opinion, but it works well for me.

  • How many calories does a beginner need to eat?

  • @zjaz10 The same as anyone: enough! ;)

  • @durianriders But how do I find out how much calories I need, so I can get enough?

  • Harley, for a breatharian look for "Prahlad Jani" here on youtube, it was world news. Science had checked his body.

  • @bifi34 Scammer. Hey look at all the olympic athletes that passed 'science tests' and only got busted for doping when they finally owned up.

  • @durianriders - how do you think Prahlad Jani managed to pass that 10 day lab test then? were the lab in on the con do you reckon?

  • Thank you Durianriders- I have a question. My stomach HURTS at the end of these huge fruit meals. Then I feel so full the last thing I want is to move or be active. I am a relatively small person. I really want to succeed at this, but it's just a lot of volume. Not from my head's voice by from my stomach's voice. Granted, I have had a foot of my small intestine removed and crones disease. Any objective advice thoughts come to mind on this topic? I am 5'3'' and small in general.

  • If she was eating too much fat, why didn't she get fat? She's still skinny.

  • @giaofnature It takes years to get really fat. Not a few weeks on a high fat raw lifestyle.

  • You rule Harley =D

    Inspiring stuff dude :)

  • Thanks Durian Rider - very interesting. I'm questioning everything diet-related at the moment... I couldn't understand why I was told to avoid fruit when trying to get over Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. Your video was food for thought.

Fran, your hair is beautiful... what a gorgeous colour!

Who is the nutcase right at the end of the video?

  • half a watermelon? boy oh boy, i eat a whole freaking watermelon myself! i don't care what other people think about what i eat or how much.

  • Textbook!

  • TY

  • harely, you have the greatest laugh

  • Can anyone point me in the direction of a video that details a proper raw diet for an athlete?

  • @Kashmereair Its the same for a couch potato or a sick person. High in carbs, low in fat, low in protein and based on fruits with the addition of vegetables and optional small amounts of nuts and seeds.

  • @durianriders Appreciate the response. I just start eating raw about 2 weeks now and my biggest problem is under eating. I'm not sure how many calories I should be consuming but I know that I definitely need to start eating more fruits to make this work.

  • 1:45 "ahhhhhhh....."

  • hey harley whats your opinion on carotanemia?

  • holy cow - i'm reading 80/10/10 right now and checked something important for me and schizophrenics. It's been told by abraham hoffer that schizophrenic is caused by adrenalin which reacts with oxygen to adrenochrome. this concurs like lsd in the body. A high fat diet makes the pancreas sluggish and the adrenal glands produces adrenalin to stimuluate the pancreas. after the cause of the cause called kryptopyrrolurie, a high fat diet is boosting mental problems too, because of adrenochrome, mhm!

  • I lost 5 kg in 5 weeks. I love fruit :)

  • He's right about the fruit. I eat 15 super-ripe bananas sometimes and never get a crash. I even drank about 20 big dates pured with water (1800+ calories) which would be the extreme end of 'insulin spiking' as people call it, and no crash, no fat gains etc. Just an amazing workout after it!

  • Do you find people run into a lot of problems when eating a lot of fruit on a cooked food, low fat, vegan diet eating a lot of carbs from rice, pasta and potatoes? I ran into digestive issues and acne (fairly sure it was caused by dates). I don't want to go 100% 80 10 10, but think it seems like an all or nothing diet.

  • @brianv00 If dates gave on acne, Freelee, Raw Athlete and I would have pizza faces.

  • @durianriders I'm not saying it would cause acne for someone on 100% 80/10/10. I ate a lot of dates, got increased acne, stopped eating dates and it went away. In my experience, lots of fruit causes problems, but like I said this might be because I eat a partially cooked food diet.

  • @brianv00

If eating fruit causes acne, then that's probably because it is helping your body to detox.

I had very bad cystic acne requiring hospital visits. I had several courses of very strong awful drugs, which actually caused many health issues, some of which I still have. Acne and most issues cleared up though once I based my diet on carb's and greens. Initially it was all fruit and greens, but now I also eat complex carb's. If I eat fat, then acne plus some other issues come back.

  • @durianriders yea acne is caused by allergies....usually gmos n dairy give me acne def not dates

  • @brianv00

Yeh i personally face problems like that myself. Im not a 100% raw fooder. More like 80%. I hav found that cooked foods made me break out alot and hav digestive issues. (bloating, gas, constipation, etc). But not as bad as when i use to eat meat and processed foods. However i had discovered that the biggest culprit for me that made me suffer alot from acne was the oils and fats. Particularly heated fats and oils. When combined with sugar and carbohydrates, thats like a no no for me Lol

  • If this works you will have just saved me from myself. I have digestive issues & I have tried to balance my nutrition, (dairy intolerance, gluten, i'm vegetarian, CRAMPS, Gas, depression etc). I'm a very anxious person, so I hear just like my great nana, the sweetest of them all. ;) I have obsessed over diet plans, & with a weight phobia. I have noticed bananas are my fav and perfect comfort food, and who could hate mango juice, if fruit is the answer, All I have is a million thank yous.

  • THE DOUCHBAG BEING REFERRED TO WAS SECRETSOFLONGEVITY OF COURSE!

  • Harley C'mon man!!! Admit that the meth head at the end was someone just joking around!

No way was that guy for real!

    It was all staged right.....?

  • theres some pastey ass pepsi drinking cheeto eatin "vegans" out there

  • I love you Harley:)

  • I decided to give your raw diet a 30day trial, after 7days the results are impressive. I lost 10lbs (from 6' 187lbs), my energy, alertness, and motivation really spiked, and ran my fastest 3 mile in 10yrs. I no longer force myself to exercise, no I just NEED/WANT to run and move. Haven't thought about coffee (formerly pot/day) and dont get an urge to wind down or relax with wine/beer. Getting about 2.5k in calories, but counting calories is helping me readjust to increasing this amount.

  • Durian, Can You Please Elaborate On Why You Don't Like Honey?

  • @Stifle771 honey is the equivalent of bee vomit

  • @vanzweel Well Then Bees Can Vomit In My Mouth All Day Then.....Honey Is Simply Plant Sugars Collected By Bees

  • @Stifle771 Refined sugar that you otherwise would never ingest.

  • Fair enough but the real reason why vegans including harley don't eat honey is because the honey industry is similar to the meat, egg and dairy industries; exploitation and manipulation of innocent beings. Many bees die as a result of the processes involved in "extracting" honey. Also during unproductive months the bees are starved to death and the hives are burnt to avoid complex maintenance. If you don't agree with me that's fine just providing a perspective.

  • @Stifle771 Honey rots your teeth with all its acids, it contains allergenic pollen that can cause weight gain via fluid retention and or breathing issues, its not ethical AND most importantly the bees world wide are in decreasing numbers as we are stealing their natural food and giving them nutrient deficient sugar water. :(

  • @Stifle771 Because it is bee vomit. Real vegans dont eat honey.

  • I am new to your channel. I must say, I am enjoying your frankness.

  • I'm posting this on my blog tomorrow. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR SAYING EVERYTHING I HAVEN'T HAD THE TIME TO TYPE OUT! :) All the high fat (they think they're high carb but they put heaps of nut butters on their carbs) vegans go back to eating animal products because they "need more protein." One of them went back and started eating the local BS because she read ONE book that said the paleo/primal diet of our ancestors (drinks coffee and alcohol too) turns on genetic expression. Out of touch much?

  • good to see a man with a logical approach... this whole spiritual stuff made me strange xD

  • Harley that is by far the creepiest picture of a banana I've ever seen...what is that a wolf banana!? Purely ghoulish -forget about eating the banana that thing looks like it eats souls on a daily basis. 24:42

  • dang! where can I get a wallpaper for my computer of freelea holding up that bunch of grapes in your video at minute 16:14 Yamma Hamma!

  • Hi mate,

I realy like your vids and your no bullshit approach to health etc. Just wanted to know your take on some theories about excessive fructose consumption and how the liver deals with it? Cheers.

  • Your videos are the most informative ever! Please keep them coming, I am loving them!

  • Damn, I don't understand the whole gourmet raw food thing anyhoo. Who the fuck wants to spend all that time in the kitchen? 10 bananas+4 peaches, blended the hell up, 6 or so dates for measure,=breakfast, out the door and on with life!!!

  • hey harls whos the meat lover at the end. wakk jobb.

  • Hi Harley, can you please explain why one should get there energy from carbs vs protein? with much peace -

  • You're amazing Durianrider!! :)

  • Can anywhere suggest where to find the 811 book that doesn't cost $100.

  • @bonnsterm You'll get it for $30 from Doug Graham's website foodnsport. com :)

  • @bonnsterm You can order a copy at foodnsport.

  • Durianrider is the worlds greatest scientist

  • thanks DR for another hilarious and TRUE video! you are doing more good than anyone else! and you're so entertaining at the same time!

i went to the TREE for a few months and i don't think cousens is a money grubber at all but he is wrong about many things.

  • @thekittykat So am I. I became vegan purely for ethical reasons, but I am so unhealthy cause all I eat are pasta, rice, and french fries. I know I have made unhealthy choices but these videos have motivated me to follow the 80/10/10 plan and I'm now eating raw just fruits and veggies. It's only been a few days but the difference in my well being is amazing! Good luck with your journey ;)

  • I'm a fat vegan.. i basically live on pasta/rice/and bread. until now.. after my fast it'll be 90% raw veggies/fruit. the rest for what i like. :D

  • You had to throw Keyth (liverawkstar) in at the end there Harley... Unfortunately most people won't get from your clip that he is HIV+ and has come a long way in improving his health, simply compare his old videos to his more recent posts.

  • @SecretsOfLongevity Shut up..

  • @1imesub Another one of your oh so intelligent and well thought out responses 1imesub. Your IQ and reasoning skills really show through on this one.

  • @SecretsOfLongevity Don't be rude.

  • @SecretsOfLongevity LISTEN EVERYONE! THIS DOUCHEBAG EATS ANIMAL PRODUCTS, AND MEAT. HE IS FULL OF SPIRITUAL GARBAGE AND IS A TOTAL DICK TO ANYONE WHO DISAGREES. HARLEY JUST BAN THE FUCKER ALREADY!

  • @gogogogogo69 Harley is open to hearing differing views just as I am, that's why we haven't banned each other from our channels. If you want to debate about animal foods, then post on my videos about that (although you're probably banned for being incredibly disrespectful towards me or other people on my channel).

If you weren't emotionally invested in your stance you wouldn't have to write in all caps and use ad hominem attacks against me to prove your point. Facts prove points, not hate.

  • @SecretsOfLongevity He's missing fruits / veggies radiance. I feel really sad for him!

  • @natureasintended He eats tons of vegetables. Animal foods made up a small minority of his diet the last I spoke with him. He is on a 0 sugar diet as he is following the body ecology diet to control his virus load (he has HIV). so far it's working wonders, he had his load so low at one point that he thought he had become HIV- but when he began eating some fruit his load shot up again.

He's sick, and in healing mode that's why he's not radiant. You'd see the same thing at any healing center.

  • @SecretsOfLongevity Fermented veggies, fat and powdered foods. That diet is not opitmal. Like Harley says, people include these and then the fruit gets the blame.

  • @natureasintended Show me someone who's reversed HIV on 80/10/10 or natural hygiene. You can't do it with sugar in your system as far as I've seen. The Hippocrates Health Institute has been reversing it for decades. Keyth doesn't even use powdered foods. Fermented veggies are powerful healing tools and so are healthy fats.

  • @SecretsOfLongevity The guy looks like absolute shit. Tell him to eat some fresh ripe fruit for God's sake!!

"Fuck you vegan nazis:" I've never met a vegan who was a nazi. Nazi's ate animal products, so... he should be saying "fuck you non-vegan nazis." (just to be politically correct).

    Yes, Hitler ate animal products.

  • @1imesub He's in his mid 50's and is HIV+.

  • @1imesub lol I didn't understand your comment until the last 20 seconds, wtf was that?!

that ticking time bomb of a person made my day :)

  • @SecretsOfLongevity People with HIV have been doing 80/10/10? As for the fermented veggies and fats, I disagree.

  • @SecretsOfLongevity I've seen him add powders to a smoothie

  • @natureasintended Doesn't mean they make up even 1% of his diet presently,

  • @SecretsOfLongevity ive seen that guy, he looks so much better than he did a few years back, hes def on to something!

  • @jungledrumnbass4ever Yep, congrats you're one of the few people on here with a basic understanding of calm logical reasoning. You compared him from the past to the present and you're probably aware of his past history as a triathlete on a 100% raw very high fruit diet (811 before 811 was around). What these short sighted, anti-academic research guys don't understand is there are plenty of people who have done 811 to a T. and have had it not work for them. That's the definition of ignorance.
