@BobC0ck It's actually to help with explosions so if you ever got too close to an explosion, their face wouldn't burn, shards of debris wouldn't cut you or hurt you, and you couldn't get hurt with something like a knife or a sword.

Kinda pisses me off how Stormtroopers in the movies constantly miss every shot, and die from a single bullet wound when they're the most elite soldiers in the galaxy. They are outfitted with extremely accurate rifles (E11s) and very durable and tough armor (18 pieces)..... Read the comics. Also they graduate from the Imperial Academy which is basically as tough as Navy SEAL training, if not harder.

My geekdom shows.... In Star Wars Miniatures a Storm trooper has 10HP, 16Def, +4att, and 10 Damage, all at a point cost of 5. So you can have a swarm of them missing nearly everything. What makes them scary is numbers and a reputation. In the RPG a 5th level party had a tough time with a squad of them. I always made the comment that Stormtroops can hit no bodies but main characters are next to impossible. I know that was mostly just random. BTW I love this video. The humor is just great.
