@MarkusMaximous btw the supra was replaced by the LFA, there is no more supras! ever! the celica is being replaced by absolutely nothing!!! they screwed the celica up when they started making fwd girl cars and know its dead, this is a last hopeless attempt to get them some attention, Toyota stopped making performance in about 1994, continued slowly till 1999 and then died in an explosion of hybrid station wagons and and priuses, the mr2 went from a poor mans ferrari .. to a Mr Sisis..

Apparentley, they have decided to put it back into production, according to the 7tune website The only thing i dont like is the rear end and the interior.

But thats probably because its a concept, but TOYOTA are considering putting in a twin turbocharged 3.5 v6, and also produce a hybrid version similiar to the gs450h, with a 3.5 v6 as well accompained by an electric motor.

I don't think the car is going to be ready for 2009 and that's a real bummer. GM is already advertising their Chevrolet Volt which is due for 2010.

Automobile magazine is the ONLY major publication that has claimed that the FT-HS is gonna be ready for 2009. Toyota didn't confirm that.

The new GT-R comes out of the factory with 4 wheel drive and 480 hp with a twin turbo. 0-62 mph rated at 3.6 seconds. If you know your numbers right, you know what at 3.6, you smoke 85% of all ferrari or lamborghini models out there ;)

If this is going to be Toyota's flagship sportscar, just call it a Supra. Doesn't matter if it's turbocharged or not. It's not the turbo that makes the car it's the full package. Front end can be refined a little. But very nice.
