I have a pair (mens and ladies) in chocolate brown, 72 and 74. I just replaced the original tires with new gumwalls and the bikes look great. You can comb your hair in the chrome. Thinking of selling them, though.. if the price is right here on Long Island.

Those 3-speed Raleigh bicycles are dependable machines. You can bet that they will keep going long after most younger bikes have given up the ghost. A real steel bicycle!
my 2 yr old bike just gave out so i came across a 1960's era raleigh supercycle. the breaks just needed tightening and some rust cleaned of and it runs better than any bike iv ever had
i have 71 Eatons Glider version of this bike made for canadian market.Excellent ride to store,shopping or coffe :) Get looks every time becouse of very noisy brakes if pushed.I love 3 speed hub and im building bike based on old Peugeot frame using 333 shimano hub .i hope it works great too.
I see. I sure would like to find one with rod braks, 700B tire size, and cassette style gears. No drum brakes though. I've seen some with drum brakes and I'm not interested in those. Also not interested in 700C tire size.

How are your brakes? I have a 50s and a 1969, and the brakes are terrible. Noisy and dangerous.

The Sports models had calipers and the Roadsters (etc.) had rod.

I see. I sure would like to find one with rod braks, 700B tire size, and cassette style gears. No drum brakes though. I've seen some with drum brakes and I'm not interested in those. Also not interested in 700C tire size.
