@999YORK Check out a book by former Congressman Paul Findley's "They Dare to Speak Out" (1985) . It's on the very subject of undue influence from IPACs.
Here's the truth about waging a war. Fight to win or you will fail. Ultimately, a nation needs resources to sustain it's people and if you are purchasing resources from a group of people that want you dead then you are funding their cause. We shouldn't be playing good Muslim... bad Muslim. We should take the resources of the enemies that we face so they can't fund their hatred. Until then, we are just pissing them off by killing their sons. Victory for one nation requires the defeat of another.
@radiohogan Right idiot. Defeating a predictably violent enemy by seizing their ability to fund random killings of civilians would be imperialist. They want you dead too moron. We could take the oil wealth of the countries that sponsor terrorism and declare their fields U.S. territory but , instead, we are trying to take out the perpetrators and preserve the lives of those who just want to live free. Then you say this war is immoral when it's brought to us on our own soil. Are you mentally ill?
@fishguru73 Sounds like you're having an episode, ranting and raving to deflect from the issue. You're either ignorant or disingenuous- multinationals, including U.S. companies, have already declared dibs on the oil wealth of their victims.
For the corporation executives, the military metaphysic often coincides with their interest in a stable and planned flow of profit; it enables them to have their risk underwritten by public money; it enables them reasonably to expect that they can exploit for private profit now and later, the risky research developments paid for by public money. It is, in brief, a mask of the subsidized capitalism from which they extract profit and upon which their power is based. C.Wright Mills, Causes of WW3
as always a very erudite analysis, hogan. for years i've been hoping the democratic party would collapse and be replaced by an actually liberal/left wing party. and after two humilating presidential election defeats i thought it might actually happen. and then 2006 happened. and then obama happened. now is even a worse time to be a progressive than under bush, because so many writers and pundits that i used to respect have turned into obamatons. i'm glad to see that you haven't.

In my opinion this is world war 3. It's not practical to cover america, europe, russia, china with armies. But thanks to "Globalism" the financials have started an all out economic offensive. The goal is bleed and weaken the superpowers until they are all under world bank control that posesses all the wealth of the nations. Our government fell for it hook line and sinker.

1. The global financial systems that created a huge financial crisis that demands bailouts or else. Where's the accountability ? Governments are resigning. But the perpetrators are rewarded with billions.
2. Congress passed the bailouts. Convinced or threatened that failure to do so would spell then end of civilization in America. And there's more bailouts to come.
Our only consolation, they did NOT privatize social security.
Bravo Radiohogan, I agree with everything you spoke about in this video. The bankers and global elites of the world is killing our youth for profit. Preemptive war is nothing more than a racket for Wall St.
You state that Reps. and Dems. are the exact same, appealing to the same elites. I am not so sure they appeal to the same elites, because within capital there are also intraclass conflicts. Some elites will lose more with the Dems. i.e.Wall Street. Obviously, the capitalist class will in general always benefit, that is the purpose of the liberal state. However, that being said I do not think that Dems would have invaded Iraq in 2003, which I believe is a significant difference.
uru, it's these types of justifications that stand in stark contrast to reality that bolster the democratic party. why not judge the dems on their record rather than how you feel about them?

The Dems record has not been great, but there are differences with the GOP. I think its much easier to say they are the same than to recognize that Dems have and are beginning to go back to neo-Keynesian policies, which GOP rejects outright. In FP, some Dems did not vote in favour of the authorization for the war in Iraq, Obama was against it from the start. Socially, Dems have increased the minimum wage, increased health care coverage for children, and secured Social Security from privatization
In addition, Obama is rolling back the Bush tax cuts on the super rich, and cutting taxes on the middle class and poor, which does constitute a redistribution. These are policies explicitedly rejected by the GOP under neoliberal policies. Also, Dems are far more progressive than the GOP. The crisis is just beginning and we are seeing real changes. The GOP is a mess, and we are living in Polanyist oscillation towards a tenacious subordination of the market to the state, not to the extent we want.
Thank you Mike for another great video.I followed your advice and read Chalmers Johnson´s Nemesis.Made me aware of current state of mind in US!Keep it up Mike,a don´t never let anybody bring your spirit down!!All the Best to you Mike!
I love these old-fashioned conservative Christians. all these new age homo-fags are pussies with no control over their own country.

Allow me to ask questions:
1. What do you mean by "--- the financials ---?"
2. When you write: "Our government fell for it hook line and sinker," what do you mean by "it?"

You forget, all the Dems voted to invade Iraq. Obama & the Dems serve Wall Street at least as eagerly as the Reps.
