to much tensing and forearm if you used your wrist and relaxed you A plus the solo, its not hard just get technique. you obviously know how to play it, use wrist though,twice as accurate as your forearm and when you build muscle memory in the long run it will be faster.

@maiden5130 that is a touch harmonic, to get the sound that hes making, you just lay your finger over the string at the third fret on E, dont push it down, just lay ur finger on top of the string. i have also been playing guitar for a little more than a year, and i just learned how to play the riffs to holy wars and the solo, the solo is a pain in the ass but i learned it

This solo hauls ass anyway. Haha, the problem I'm having with learning it is that I'm picking it too fast. Also, I've only played for 3 months, so my fretting speed isn't quite that fast. Nearly there, but not quite.
