  • What an incredible performance by Ian Richardson in this series.

  • Sheer brilliance! F U is deliciously evil. We should hate ourselves for liking him so.

  • My favorite british drama / play of all time. I never read any of the reviews of it, but one could see the Shakesparian quality to everything.

  • Putting the poor bastard out of his agony.

Not many world leaders (or government whips) would get away with wearing their High School ties - Even if they did go to Eton. The other regimental tie FU wore was the maroon and Blue household Guards tie.

  • F.U. 2012!

  • Don't worry, every politician I look at these days is a version of FU ... they all show us the middle finger, saying silently "FU"

  • superb actor. should have been knighted.

  • Scary and funny all at once.

  • The thing I love about the House of Cards Triology is when FU talks to the audience you really feel that the two of you are in this together.

  • @ReviewForReel This is a skill that not every body can pull of. He was a brilliant actor.

  • easily one of the greatest tv shows ever made

  • I saw Ian live on stage - brilliant

  • I want to be FU when I grow up.

Although I'd settle for being a drinking buddy.

  • F.U. ..... F me!

  • Wow!!! That is exceptional acting !!!

  • This is a beautiful scene. Notice how every line, almost every word, is linked to some physical movement, culminating in 'poor..bastard' as he shakes the water from his (washed) hands. It's all meticulously blocked and performed with consummate panache.

  • I love his command of the English Language!

    FU- Ian Richardson!

    Thanks for sharing.

  • He was such a brilliant actor..the voice, his timing, the face..great.

  • Watching the PM have a piss. Lovely.

FU rules, cold calculating bastard. Woo!

  • I couldn't possibly comment.

  • Put abit of stick about FU!!!!!!

  • I agree full heartedly!

  • Magnificent, isn't he? Greatest character in the history of television...

  • you have my vote.......had hollywood had

a bit of sense the man could have bagged

a few oscars.......but then hollywood likes

it only simple and simple ......

  • You'd never catch him acting, really good actors put the wind up Hollywood.

  • @jpandyaraja

Since when were oscars linked to good acting... more like, how much they can pull in at the box office. Ian Richardson would have blown hollywood out of the water and shown it up for the self back-slapping club that it is.

  • @kara1464 aye , aye i hear you......i hear you

  • @jpandyaraja

I came over as a bit too aggressive there... I am sorry ..x

  • @kara1464 ok ..no harm done......gb

  • @ThyBrad Yes FU is magnificent but I have to disagree with "greatest character in the history of television" - that honour belongs to the great Carroll Oconnor/Archie Bunker (imo anyway!) :)
