@vmkSAVAGEGUY The Wii version is actually a bit easier than GC PAL cause there are many glitches on GC village which they took out of the Wii version.

But the spawning and most other things are about the same so the same strategies apply.

It is also really annoying when I goto do the move and I accidently start picking up items...

Yes,without it I couldn't kill the blue lady next to the house,so woulda been 204100 instead.(happened lots of times,one grenade short,and usually many short,but this time finally some luck,which you get eventually after a million runs ^_^)

yeah I know.That's what I say,if I don't get that grenade I can't kill the blue lady next to the house.The second to last grenade I toss,kill 24 or 25 in the chest.(it's a plaga lady)

I think not many people can get more with Wesker in village :)

If I continued playing this,I think the PAL record is possible with Hunk,but I am satisfied with this,it's a monsterscore for not playing Wesker :)

(and lots of bella glitches in village so I was happy I got the Hunk village record so I could stop lol,I hate missing bellas)

The turn at 1:00 -- do you use the c-stick to look right, and then tap aim, or is it move right + look right then tap aim? or am i totally off? also, the 2nd chest 1st grenade was sick -- i guess they have to be gathered IN FRONT of house, not in the alley for this to work.

The turn,yeah both work,with or without moving.Just the c-stick and tap aim works as well.

The grenade over the house,if they're not too far in the alley it still works,but I gather them further away cause the blue lady that just jumped down from the roof just stands there if she doesn't see you after she jumps down.

So you have to get her in the blast as well.This way,I can toss it further to the left without having to worry about missing one or two that are too far in the alley

so does holding a grenade REALLY make you run faster, or is there another reason? it is difficult to test properly, but in my limited attempts to test running speed with TMP vs. with Grenade, i could find barely any, if any, difference, when running from the start point by the tower (w/ grenade/herb) all the way to the barn with the barrel/time bonus/chest in it. like the difference was .5 seconds, but there was certainly some human error in there b/c i had to turn a little bit while running.

Ok,I tried it out myself to see how much actually the difference is.With Wesker and Hunk,1.2 secs every 27 secs of running.

With Leon probably the same but he doesn´t have a nade to start so i didn´t try that.

With Ada and Krauser,no difference.But they run a lot faster than the others anyway (every 7 secs they are 1 sec faster than the others!)

So,it's not that much faster running with a nade,but I still do it :)

Every half sec can count in the end

cool, that's pretty much what i figured. sometimes people switch to grenades also when they dodge enemies-- i wonder if it has any effect on that

It might just help sometimes,beeing that little bit quicker,to not get hit,but not much I think.

But for the running part,in castle it's important,cause at some points you have to run a lot,and can only just keep combo so you have to do it there.

If you wanna see what i mean,watch my friend DerekT21288 's castle WR (362670),in castle you got more enemies than you can kill so every sec counts there.

He's the master,unbelievable how quick he is

imagine if everyone actually adopted this naming scheme for their mercenaries vids... you get all the info you'd want to know and each term is searchable on its own the way this vid is titled. I for one would like to search for something as specific as "GC Hunk Village" and be able to actually get all the good vids to come up, with their scores in the titles, so i don't waste time opening up like 80 or 140K.

Well,all the best runs have the score in the title,and I just looked for "GC hunk village",this run (WR,so look no further ^_^) was second in the list...

I always find what I'm looking for :P

But if you wanna see a certain run with a certain character,i know which players have the best runs and hold the other records,so just ask what you wanna see and I'll send you the links,no problem :)

(most of them are friends,it's a small RE4 world ^ ^)

Yeah for Hunk village it's the WR on all consoles so not bad :)

I'm also thinking about running main game now but,need more practice...

That was a great run (hurray for original statement)! The spawning in Hunk Village runs look a little more complicated that Wesky's. Also, style points for using the neckbreaker on the 3rd bonus chest XD

And remember your "greatest convenient grenade pick-up" comment on Derek's castle?The nade I get from the "neckbreak'd" guy comes pretty close :)

I only have my GC for about two months,so that's how long I played it :)

But I played a few months of PS2 Hunk village before that so good practice :)

I only play RE4 for about a year or so,so I'm still getting better :)

We'll see what I can do in the other maps,but lots of practice again first ^_^
