There is 2 switched one is a simple on-off switch the the other is for current measuring.
The current measuring works by putting a small resistor(about 1Ohm) in serial with the circuit you're powering, and by measuring the voltage across the resistor you can calculate the current(V/R=I).
Do you have more inform on the project? What do the buttons do exactly?
Also one thing I could never get my head around how do you measure current consumption exactly?
