Highly concentrated sources of oxygen promote rapid combustion. Fire and explosion hazards exist when concentrated oxidants and fuels are brought into close proximity; however, an ignition event, such as heat or a spark, is needed to trigger combustion.
Oxygen itself is not the fuel, but the oxidant.
Combustion hazards also apply to compounds of oxygen with a high oxidative... because they can donate oxygen to a fire.
how dare you call me feeble minded i simply made a comment stating that O not O2 burns hotter in brown gas and you still fail to tell me how oxygen burns when welding :O
I find it humorous that you rely on petty insults to put forth you opinion ^_-
1.)I'm 19. I have a genetic disorder that has stunted my growth
2.) There is no such thing as an "oxygen welder"
3.) You are most likely thinking about an Oxy-Fuel setup that uses a fuel gas with oxygen.
I have to ask you something though... If you claim that oxygen can burn... then why is the atmosphere around us not burning constantly. And to find a singlet of oxygen? Do you know how hard that is? Oxygen, upon contact with another Oxygen molecule instantly pairs up with one another.
Also, one thing I have learned over the years: Never use Wikipedia as a source of information. Only through books that are printed in ink can not be changed. Wikipedia, while it is accurate some of the time, until you check the sources, don't assume it is fact.
I think your holes should be a little bigger and clapping force to seal. expansion and contraction of materials was the only problem that i could see. I have enjoyed your work, keep it up. Peace
Polycarbonate and HHo do not work well together, the polycarbonate will crack and fail every time, even within 1 hour of start up from new...

O2 is not flammable ~facepalms~
Please do not talk unless you know what you are blathering about

o_O ...... i quote "its not o2 its simply oxygen"
as in "O" which is used in some welding machines

~facepalms harder~ O2 is oxygen. And it is used in some welding setups
cheeseboat15 2 years ago
o2-1=o -__- which is more flammable then o2 if im not mistaken

Oh boy... here we go

Just stop.. you are wrong...

omg dude thay use pure oxygen in welders to melt metal WITH A TORCH which requires a FLAME
WHAT I WAS TRYING TO SAY IS "THAT WHEN YOU TAKE APART H2O YOU GET H2 AND O THE O MAKES IT BURN HOTTER"
ajboomboom5 2 years ago
I have been welding for 8 years.
Let me ask you something. I doubt your feeble mind will comprehend it but I shall go on anyways.
O2 makes combustion more complete as you are oxidizing a fuel. O2 will not burn by itself. Hydrogen will.
Did you pay attention is school at all?
I find it humorous that you believe that by typing in caps, people will agree with you.
I know what I am talking about. That is all there is to it. You are wrong sir. Good night

you should work on your debating skills

My point was that neither O nor O2 burns at all

then how does a oxygen welders work -__-
and theirs no way in hell that your over 14 so i doubt that you have bean welding for 8 years

nice engineering! maybe you can make your new lid from stainless and a gasket, just rely on your meters and perhaps a lexan sight gauge?
smokyatgroups 3 years ago
Yes, that is a good idea but I have completed the new lid yesterday and will show it soon.
Thanks anyway

Are you able to save , weigh and Analise the
sediment in the tub?
Is the sediment from the water, metal decomposition or a combo of both "
Was the water that went in and out of the tub tested?
ubuibiok 3 years ago
I am pretty sure it is the brass,I would like to analyse the sediment but I have no means to so
