1541-7 has the thread trim. No it cannot be added to a regular DNU-1541. You might want to look into LU1510N-7 which has the vertical axis hook, the machine and thread trim is better design then the 1541-7. The cost is more, but 1541 would bring a high trade in value, the features would increase production and be worth it

It is designed to create and sew patterns. sewing on webbing, seat belts,harnesses, attaching hoop and loop, and stuff like that. Cannot sew like a regular sewing machine, but since the clamps move the sewing area you do not have to turn the item as you would if you had to straight stitch.

How much do these machines cost? At the moment I'm not looking for speed, but rather strong and professional looking stitches on my straps.

Holy crap that's awesome! Can it also be used for just a straight stitch, or is it just for technical stiches?
