First, decide what type of food you want to serve. 2nd check online for area restuarants that also cater. 3rd. Buffet is usually less expensive and you can mix and match dishes and they usually sell by container(serves 12 or 24 etc) 4) If you want servers and utensils, plates, napkins etc provided by caterer this is usually additional cost. I usually go with Italian as it is the most cost effective with quite a few good entres. I hired a couple college kids and used my own plates etc, saved 140

Congrats!!! Put an ad on Craigslist that you are looking for a caterer for your anniversary. A lot of people have catering business that would probably love to do it to get there name out there...
