Try one of the following methods:

Method 1. You have to play as them 200 times (Recommended).

Method 2: Get their "Medal" item in Survival Mode.

Change kasumi's hair either by choosing her and her costume with either circle or square. It braids her hair. It also makes Helena's hair 1/3 shorter

@45Yankeeclipper you have to play that person sooo many times or beat survival mode in however many minutees or lives (not played the game in ages!) but you should find a guide online that tells you what you have to do

Gen Fu's 5th outfit makes him look like the pope! And at the same time, you can tell they really didn't put as much thought into the mens outfits as they did with the females. Oh well, paving the way for the DOA Xtreme games, I guess!

this game is very good, I have it on the dreamcast, and I also played on the ps2, and almost no comparison, I found the same, unlike that in your video look more costumes for the characters, but not the truth Not dedicated to me and also see if the dreamcast out, but I've also seen another video where they spend the vercion of the xbox and the last couple costume comes ryu hayabusa ninja gaiden is, I think is the doa2 difernencia DC comparing it with the PS2 and the Xbox.Another difference?

Kasumi's 8th costume: Grab the Cherry in survival mode under any setting. Alternately, use her more than 200 times.

Ayane's 7th costume: Complete time attack mode with Ayane and in less than 4:15 on any setting. Alternately, play as her more than 100 times.

Ayane's 8th costumes: Get the "Tiara" item with Ayane in survival mode on any setting. Alternately, play as her more than 200 times

You can also collect 200 stars to unlock certain costumes in survival mode as I mention in the description

@8kdez Actually only Ryu is from the NG series they threw in Ayane because of DOA. So technically Ayane is not from Ninja Gaiden but just in it.

@Hyde1415 actually nobody is from ninja gaiden LOL. The original ninja from NInja Gaiden is Joe Hyabusa. When Itagaki got ahold of the series for xbox, he just remade the game with the character he had from Dead Or Alive, Ryu Hayabusa, so technically they all came from DOA, not Ninja Gaiden

you have to get 200 stars in survival mode and to get the stars thing you have unlock bayman and to do that you have to complete story mode with everyone on the story mode

Before you do this, you must unlock Bayman first, otherwise the stars will not appear in Survival Mode. Oh, and I'm not sure if this works on Dreamcast, but you can always try :)
