  • fuck egypt!

  • Democracy...in Egypt: wishful thinking, and those like kareem, with an opinion (even though I personally don't agree with it),end up exactly the way he did...and the Middle East keeps wondering why they're behind!

  • i think that kareem didnt"attack"islam perse,butfreed hmself frm religious bondage.he tasted overwhelmng freedom 4d 1st n"blogging".sad 2 say he"abused"hs freedom that now brought hm more serious damage.1 truth hurts,"freedom" s "freedom" hwever u wana put.f wer hurt,then w should ask ourselvs y r w hurt? &lets nt stop there.lets examine ourselvs.only by being true 2 ourselvs/conscience that we r acountable 2 God/Allah.& if people judge us by it,then they made themselvs acountable 2 God/Allah.

  • I would like to have a copy of this "BLOG" that got Kareem into so much trouble.. my first impulse is to post Kareems words on every blog that I could find-if u will send me a copy <writetomesomeday@aolDOTcom> I will.

I am for freedom and against wars that involve any weapons other than "civil disobedience". Cmon Egypt! let us join hands and fight this common enemy together with civil disobedience. let them imprison us ALL for the crime of BLOGGING!

  • i'am an egyptian Muslim and absolutely don't agree the persecution because of personal beliefs. What woudl affect me or my religion if he refused Islam?we have to be tolernat regarding this point.

  • @rakam707 - one of the smartest Muslims around..cheers!!

  • Idiots, what you consider insults and curses he merely considers them his opinion, and all his fault is that he decided to say them loudly, I'm egyptian, christian and he critisized christianity in his blog, but that didn't bother me at all, you have the option to agree or disagree with him, but you don't have the right to persecute him for saying his opinion in public.

  • the man insulted people the fact that it is hosni or the people at alazhar shoudnt matter, but not 4 years in prison its too much the only reason i dont feel compasion is because he was insulting not only them but a religion as well this in my opinion does not lead to anything but hate.

and yes people are accountable of what they say anywhere even on the internet. the fact is he knew what he was doing

  • Dear Ko3, if you read carefully we all agreed on the freedome of speach but also shoud be accountable of what to say. Insulting you is not my freedome.

  • There is a big diffrence between expressing ones openion and insulting other people belives. He should pay for his mistake.

  • yes gabereln ur right, i read his articles and i didnt find any constructive criticism or opnion, just blasphemy and curses...

  • but still, i say everyone should have the freedom do say what they want

  • Thanks mmida for your reply. I agree with what you said "everyone should have the freedom do say what they want" but also, they should be accountable of what they say.

    Regards,

  • Wtf are you talking about? People have a right to say whatever they want. You can agree or disagree but putting someone in jail for his beliefs can NEVER be justified. This decision really takes Egypt back the long way of democracy all the way to the middle ages.

  • There is a big diffrence between expressing ones openion and insulting other people belives. He should pay for his mistake.
