@9kuuby9 wowwow , ,,de kilo'' klinkt als ,,the kilo'' , er komt een update van de PC scrap site , maar eerst moet er nog toestemming komen van de site-owner, stay tuned.
It's just like buying an old car or motorcycle... the motorcycle might not run, or is sun damaged and rusty Not worth much, BUT taken apart or fixed up, could be worth a lot ... I bought an old Moto Guzzi for $200...I sold the gas tank for $175 a brake pedal $25, the starter $100 and the differential $100. I still own the engine + transmission + a lot more! In the West people would just rather be done with it and sit it on the curb or sell it cheap to get rid of it!
@MrComaToes Ah , you're a hobby scrapper / breaker , thats also a way to make money , MotoGuzzi parts sell well here in The Netherlands because lots of used/crashed MG's are imported from Italy , where MG is made.
@dutchurbanminer I actually love yard sales, thrift stores and especially love estate sales. I don't usually buy things to break them up, that Moto Guzzi was the exception (it had a bad ring and pinion). Years of buying parts on ebay taught me there is a great market for old car/motorcycle parts.
You'll have me ferreting around now looking for scrap computer parts..lol
Thanks for the advice, I never knew any of that stuff you just talked about. Just goes to show how blind we can all be to the exact value of parts, me included. :-)
@Bevoin1970 Its like throwing your old paper or cardboard into the council's recycling dumpsters , many years ago everybody just collected that at home and then sold it to a firm but nowadays everything has a end-of-life value.
