@monsterhunter445 After you do the gobul in solo the captain of the trade ship shows the weapon smith how to make the longsword. If the captain isn't back when you complete the quest just do the free roam till he shows then talk to the weapon smith

@megaboy28 Its when you have beaten the gobul and the argosy captain visits you again, so after beating gobul, just keep skipping days by going out into the moga woods for two minutes, coming back, sleeping, rinse and repeat untiil argosy comes back

The only way to get these weapons is to slay the monsters and then carve the monster. Also you can get materials for weapons from rewards.
