Journalist: What kind of story is Krabat?

David: To make it short, Krabat is a fantasy story about friendship, bravery, love and seduction (temptation).

Journalist: How did you get the part. Did someone call you and asked you if you wanted to play Krabat? Can you tell us?

David: The movie I did before Krabat was my first bigger movie, the movie was called Knallhart and I think that Marco (Kreuzpaintner; the director) saw me there. So gave me a call and we met. He said that he didn´t like those castings, that they were stupid and fake.

Then we read the script and I had to act a scene once to convince the producers. We had many rehearsals just reading the text, we just read the script and one day he just said that I would play Krabat.

David: Wow. I was very happy. It´s just such a huge part (part of the century) and you don´t get the chance to play a part like this often.

Journalist: Why should people come and watch this movie?

David: I think that the movie is very entertaining, it´s a good story, you are sucked in, I´d say, it´s fast, many things happen, you just can´t leave, some parts are very emotional. Like I already said, there are many interesting topics, great images, really great images like the Romanian landscape, the helicopter shots look so fantastic sometimes and I think that the movie is just exciting, sometimes even scary.
