Thanks to 1 of our frnds, I never knew Sir Shail Chaturvedi's name.......I call him Sir coz I loved him in Shriman Shrimati, n also was fortunate to c few of his kavi sammelans on TV, n admired his work a lot! I still remember the way he wud call keshu as bhikmange, lucche, chottttte, n with other grrt names......n sumtimes makin entry with a hit song, the top 1 was kya ada kya jalwe tere paaro! lol........newaz Byomkesh Bakshi too rocks big time ;-)

One thing I want to say is that the beauty of old tele serials was that all the characters are so real and believable and a great deal of effort went into writing each one of them. Now the serials that we have today, we all know they are caricatures and that why we can just laugh over them. A thousand camera angles, loud background score and unnecessary twists to fool the audience. Golden days are gone. Alas!

Even Shivaji Satam will admit the best ever detective serial he worked in was the marathi serial "Ek Shunya Shunya" which was simply CLASS APART. Hats Off to "Ek..." & Byomkesh Bakshi.

No Comparision. CID is Sh*t compared to the two classics I mentioned. Thanks 'ryt2cheeks' for bringing this ONE classic to the party. If Doordarshan just decides to showcase all it's best works, all other so-called 'TRP winners' will easily go to Hell. My Question is: WHY DOORDARSHAN DOESN'T?!
