  • Best piece ever.

  • This is the sound of my mind; lost , none the less assured by what it knows, searching for more answers and confident all while being very mysterious! As a matter of fact it's just like the photo in the video, if you made that selection @UgoZg it was a great choice.

  • coming to the shire in a few months ... wonder if i'll make it there, if not sold out already

  • Myth.

  • I think this 1 dislike is just because there were 0 dislikes for so long.

  • @Tr0nc3k Balance.

  • Man, I absolutely could not stop banging on about how cinematic this track is when it first came out. A huge fan of Morricone, so how could I not love the ominous pre-shoot-out feel of Part I? It's a great one to listen to when the sun's just up and the sky's still that deep mix of colours - a little chill in the air... something's about to happen! For me, the most lyrical of Orbital's songs (lyrical in the sense of a tone-poem, of course - I know there are no words! lol)

  • @KrillLiberator I'm feeling your comment about the pre-shootout bit, it would almost feel at home in a Western movie

  • great! :)

  • I like the more remixed version that's on the 2nd CD of this album....it's 28min long even though only the first 4 min or so are this song.

  • ..♥..

  • When i heard this song on a paul okenfold mix cd, i liked it. For now on everytime i listen to this i take out the booklet and skip to this song. ;)

  • I think this is the only youtube vid that has Part 1. It's so much better than part 2, so thanks for that! :)

  • @msampson3d part 2 is a single...part1 makes the whole thing a totally different experience - it's not a long intro.

  • @jackjude Yup.

  • So many reveries to this. Thanks for Parts 1 & 2!

  • just a soundwalk trough the loneliness of the self-conciensce in the cold of the fight of surviving.

  • i love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • che bei tempi...venezia, vaperetto e tu!!!

  • 1996. We were young, floating and just happy and sad at the same time.

  • An unforgettable classic!!!

  • Never thort i'd find thisagain. when i ask people say who. love it.

  • part 1 > part 2 but both are good of course

  • @starsweet4 wrong! part 2 is better! ;)

  • @starsweet4 sorry m8, but I feel it other way around.

  • @recrof i must be in the minority then ;)

  • There is music that relieves stress and music that induces stress. This is what i listen to when I need to really hunker down and work, and blood pressure is no object.

  • They allow long enough videos for you to upload the full thing now, just saying ;) Anyways, very cool stuff, the first electronic artist (I used to only listen to rock) I really started listening to a lot was Aphex Twin, and I'm kinda looking around for other good artists and Orbital seems very cool.

  • @w35m4n Aphex Twin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @pisisamio7 huh?

  • @w35m4n didn't know that. i'm going to upload the whole thing when i find time.

  • @w35m4n Welcome to the weird and wonderful electronic world!! Did you find some more you like?

  • "Music is the mediator between the spiritual and the sensual life.

Although the spirit be not master of that which it creates through

music, yet it is blessed in this creation, which, like every creation of

art, is mightier than the artist." - Beethoven

  • i cant believe i forgot about this

  • @ihaveaverybadcold I have a bad cold and i can't believe you forgot about this!! I mean really lay of the pot and let the memorys back in... I kid I kid you laugh you laugh I hope I hope. End message. ☺

  • brings aphex twin in my mind, and vice-versa :) one thing wich makes life beautifull is the emotion brought by music ...of all kinds. Peace Earth!

  • OP - you are a genius for uploading.

Saw Paul Hartnoll perform this live (acoustic) at Connect Festival in 2007. Awesome.

  • I feel like when I was a child running from anything thru the cemetary gates in my backyard and dancing with the dawn of the dead>>>>>

  • i dont like the end...

  • I have been looking for this song for almost 15 years!!! Part 1 is wicked! TY so0oo00oo much for uploading :)))

  • @xdreamdesignx 15 years? You got a lot of catching up to do. ;) Enjoy!

  • It's just perfect.

  • 1:24 when the second harp comes in I always get goosebumps..

  • good man!1 w.out the other just aint right.good bloody effort

  • Great great song. Took me back to a very creative decade.

  • the first 5 minutes here i actually heard for the first time today, but the latter 5 minutes sound like the video edit. I own the maxi cd with the original (video) version, 2 x untitled version and the vocal edit. best version is the first of the untitled with the scary touch from the cd. the vocal version i dont like so much.

  • This is amazing..i have this cd somewhere...

  • This reminds me of college...we used to go to sleep to this every weekend. Memories....

  • ps part 2 is epic as well. Is it off the film The Saint?

  • this song is deep. it transcends all other formats of expression, gives me goose bumps and evokes all kinds of different and complex emotions. I absolutely love it. Shame my GF hates it but what does she know lol

  • @TheAwole I've been married 7 years and even though my wife and I get along great, we diverge on the issue of electronic/forward-thinking music. I like it though because it's like my own secret world and link to my past that will always be mine. For instance, I bought "Insides" when it came out in June of 1996 (US Version) with money I earned as a waiter at Pizza Hut when I was 17. That's 14 years of memories and "depth" Long live the brothers Hartnoll!

  • @TheAwole Dump her!

  • @TheOceanlab well funnily enough or not really, i did after 4 years of being together. For different reasons though, not purely based on her disapproval of my taste in music lol oh well

  • @TheAwole you better replace your girlfriend.. sadly.

  • @TheAwole u cant help every1 mate

  • @TheAwole Haha man I love your comment, Wish you and your girflriend the best, lol

  • @TheAwole think the one dislike might have been my now ex girlfriend lol

  • @TheAwole She obviously sucks. :)

  • i love the part 1 of this song so much :)))

    Orbital Rules

  • This is beautiful...

  • that's why i uploaded it ;-)

  • best electronic music ever.....this is what is all about in music....the Art of music.....to bad for last 2,30 minutes....but still we have 10 min to listen....;-))
