  • i have that original record and use for scratching from the doobie borthers, it must be worth some money.

  • No way you only been scratching 7 months a track couldn't even scratch like that at 7 months and he's a true scratch prodigy nice cuttin though youre full of shit

  • you dont believe him??? maybe he practiced more than atrak.

  • @djscrilla06 Fuck you man, you think someone who's trully talented at scratching would try to impress people more by saying he's only scratched for 7 months? that's just fucking stupid. If this guy said he's been scratching for 3 years i'd still think it was good.

just another youtube troll calling bullshit on ridiculous things.

  • daterape victim thats beautiful name by the way you sound like a real stand up guy i was joking & you got all butt hurt dont worry i dont wanna rape you it's ok! i was just tryin to youtube chat get off this guys nutz any way you fuckin punk ass bitch!

  • this is good man, i dont believe you've only been scratching 7 months at all tho!

  • wow that thing looks very expensive... nice scratching

  • If you want, you can download a program called paltalk. We have room made for scratching and you're more than welcome bust out your cuts. Its been a minute since i last been on because of work and a lot of poker games plus im moving to hawaii. Maybe ill see Q-Bert there someday.

  • which island?

  • Oahu

  • what city? i live in mililani

  • I just found a place in pearl city and I should be moving there sometime at the end of the month. Took me long enough to reply.

  • what record are you using to scratch to ?

  • The beat is off a battle record called "cycle breaks" by swift rock, I slowed the pitch down to somewhere around (-12)

  • Very good !!!

  • Thanks!

  • man how many hours a day did you practice for?

  • Depends on the day. I work a 9-5 5 days a week. Usualy a couple hours when I get home, but sometimes I get in the "zone" and keep going and loose track of time. When I 1st started it was non stop since I was trying to learn so much. I mix as well, so it pretty much takes up most of my time.

I'm getting a drum set tomorrow so I'll be spending less time on the tables, but i'll manage to split the time between the 2 eventually

  • That was ok but u just recycled rhythms from q. to really get it dope come up with some innovative new shit

  • I'm still within my first year of scratching. Coming up with new shit in 2008 when ur new to this shit is kind of a stretch. You gotta learn the basics first, For exaple, your rhythems are recycled from the early late 80's to early 90's when everyone was transforming and stabbing, even Q. And when I do come up with new shit, someones already done it b4. but glad to hear it sounded like Q :) If I could to what he does, i'd be happy and content. Just wanna be good and have fun, not be superman.

  • Those videos on my profile are my younger brother. I have been skrtching for 8 months andi have been comin up with my own rhythms. I respect you for just doing it for passion and for fun, but to elevate your talentsit yourself down, watch djays like dstyles and q, then tke wut they do and try to add a twst, try 2 put 2 clicks with crabs, or sqeez variations. Try this one, do a squeez then do the chirp, then flare over a clover tare. i came up with that scratch yesterday and it sounds real nice.

  • Cool, you should put up a vid of those combos, i'd like to check it out sometime. Thanks for the comment

  • I jsut posted them

  • dope videos keep it up

  • Damn it....that was fresh !

  • Thanks

  • what needles are you using here? I love "The Breaks" too... i;'ve never heard an instrumental its pretty slow

  • I've been using Technics headshells, with Shure M44-7 cartridges and needles and haven't used anything else. These needles don't skip at all and they last real long. If I were to ever change needles, it prolly only be for the Q-Bert Ortofons, but other than that, these needles are sic.

The beat is off a ballte record called "cycle breaks", I slowed the pitch down to somewhere around (-12) thanks to the TTX's. These tables are sic too.

  • nice man.

    wuts that beat tho

  • It's off of a battle record called "Cycle Breaks" by "Swift Rock". Few other decent breaks on there and some samples. Thanks for the comment

  • nice skills, just subbed
