It's never on sky sports news or BBC news, there is one UK MMA show on sky sports once a week at like 10 and it's pretty budget. The sport isn't mainstream here. Maybe the bisping fight would of generated mainstream coverage but then again the hardy fight against GSP didn't.

THIS is the Chael Sonnen I grew to like since he started in the WEC. Upfront, honest, semi-modest, and no trash talking and antic douchery. Don't get me wrong, some of his antics are very entertaining and I commend him for that. But there was a time, when he just pushed the envelope too far, to the point of disrespecting other fighters and other people, just to keep himself in the spotlight.
Also, I noticed that in every close fight, the wresler always gets the decision. The judges are such amateurs that they think that just cause someone gets a takedown, they automatically win the round. Chael did get takedowns, but bisping got right back up.

Bisping didn't beat up Chael according to the statistics. Chael landed more punches than Bisping did. Plus he got those takedowns. I think the judges made the right decision here, although it was a hard fight to score.

Bisping won this fight. He was the better striker (EFFECTIVE STRIKING) he got up when sonnen took him down and transitioned well on the ground (EFFECTIVE GRAPPLING) and he had sonnen pressed up on the cage for the majority of the fight (OCTAGON CONTROL). sonnen won round 3 clearly but bisping has round 1 and 2. One takedown doesnt win you a round. bisping landed more effectively and often and controlled. He got screwed coz sonnen silva 2 is more marketable

I'm from the UK next door to Manchester so this was hard to pick but I'm a huge Sonnen fan. It was simply too close to call but then looking at the stats and how the pointing system works you can see why Sonnen won fair and square. Holding someone against a fence does NOT win you fights, even if Rogan goes bananas at it. I can't wait for Sonnen to now take the easy fight and take the belt. I had Chael winning the fight by a close decision, I was cracking up when Joe Rogan was talking like Chael was getting dominated. It was very close nonetheless and wouldn't of been the least bit surprised if it went to Bisping.
I could see how the judges scored it for Chael. The thing is while Bisping was able to hold Chael against the cage for a good portion, judges really don't see that as holding an opponent in a dominant position. So scoring wise, they had to look at other factors and that would be that Chael took down Bisping and that's why the judges gave him the edge.
Chael has FightMetric, Compustrike and three athletic commission judges to state his case. But Bisping won because pothead spaz Rogan thinks he looked really good holding Sonnen against the fence.
How can people give Chael a 10-8 on 3rd rnd. No way. 10 -9 yes. U can't end the round on ur back after being on top and get a 10-8. A 10-8 is for total domination of the rnd.

The UFC has the best referees (with the exception of Steve Mazagatti) and the worst judges in the world. THIS is the Chael Sonnen I grew to like since he started in the WEC. Upfront, honest, semi-modest, and no trash talking and antic douchery. Don't get me wrong, some of his antics are very entertaining and I commend him for that. But there was a time, when he just pushed the envelope too far, to the point of disrespecting other fighters and other people, just to keep himself in the spotlight.

Also, I noticed that in every close fight, the wresler always gets the decision. The judges are such amateurs that they think that just cause someone gets a takedown, they automatically win the round. Chael did get takedowns, but bisping got right back up.

@d34d10ck no not because of that but because imo bisping did at lot more than chael in the first and second round. its true, bisping didn't do a whole lot, but neither did chael. chael took him down and bisping pop right back up.bisping beat him in the stand up and i guess u can say he pressed him against cage until the end of both rounds. he did at lot more. that's just my opinion, but like i said before i am glad chael won becuase i really want to see the rematch between him and silv

Bisping didn't beat up Chael according to the statistics. Chael landed more punches than Bisping did. Plus he got those takedowns. I think the judges made the right decision here, although it was a hard fight to score.
Let's face it. Nobody in this fight was a clear winner or loser. Bisping has no right to be outraged and neither would have Sonnen if he had lost the decision.

Bisping won this fight. He was the better striker (EFFECTIVE STRIKING) he got up when sonnen took him down and transitioned well on the ground (EFFECTIVE GRAPPLING) and he had sonnen pressed up on the cage for the majority of the fight (OCTAGON CONTROL). sonnen won round 3 clearly but bisping has round 1 and 2. One takedown doesnt win you a round. bisping landed more effectively and often and controlled. He got screwed coz sonnen silva 2 is more marketable

I'm from the UK next door to Manchester so this was hard to pick but I'm a huge Sonnen fan. It was simply too close to call but then looking at the stats and how the pointing system works you can see why Sonnen won fair and square. Holding someone against a fence does NOT win you fights, even if Rogan goes bananas at it. I can't wait for Sonnen to now take the easy fight and take the belt. Bisping is a FAR better fighter than Silva, no UFC hype pound for pound nonsense is gonna change reality.

I had Chael winning the fight by a close decision, I was cracking up when Joe Rogan was talking like Chael was getting dominated. It was very close nonetheless and wouldn't of been the least bit surprised if it went to Bisping.

I could see how the judges scored it for Chael. The thing is while Bisping was able to hold Chael against the cage for a good portion, judges really don't see that as holding an opponent in a dominant position. So scoring wise, they had to look at other factors and that would be that Chael took down Bisping and that's why the judges gave him the edge.
