I mean this in best way possible, but this feels like sesame street or something for adults. Happy, easy to understand message with subtitles to re-enforce what you're hearing. Lighthearted feel and bizzarely comforting video.

hi raphaelpinel, there are sexual connatations for "spanky" however I believe that the guys meaning in this song is, well apart from the message of "what you focus on grows", the "get spanky" means get upbeat about stuff. If what we focus on grows then why aren't i rich? Why are people still starving in the developing world through famine? Why didn't the war in the middle east end through the wishes of peace campaigners and the thousands that marched against those wars?

I believe you'll find your answers in your own well-written and deeply considered words. :) The collective consciousness has a great deal of power and it will take more than the wishes of a few to permanently alter that consciousness, in my humble opinion.

However the questions are valid: so if you believe that what you focus on grows, perhaps you could provide an answer to those qustions. So if the wishes of a minority, the government, are able to enact war against the wishes of a greater number - who has focussed on what?

"Why didn't the war...end?", which sounds like frustration/anger. So, the thoughts I am seeing in written form are focused on lack, frustration & anger. If focussing on havign more money produced more money then there'd be evidence to show this in the physical world and we'd all be richer financially. Thousands of people marching for peace don't manifest their wish over the will of a few hundred in Parliament.
