because the shopkeeper says that it is the year of the dragon, which was in 2000, so it told u that his scenes were flashbacks (not that obvious though)

Secondly, there was only one of the Oceanic Six to be revealed.... Jack, Kate, Hurley, Sayid, and Aaron were all revealed before so as soon as we saw Sun giving birth it could have been worked out that Jin didnt make it...

Such a sad scene though, excellent episode....

In fact, this episode was a masterpice in manipulation of poor little viewers, showing flashforwards of Sun and her baby (so they will be saved and bring back from the island) and mixing it with flashbacks of Jin (which happened to even prior of the coming to the island) but without telling the viewer that the jin scenes actually occur in the past : we thought that all happened in a single linetime and that Jin & Sun have "survived" and come back !

But in the end, the truth is revelead :(

it is a variation on the song called 'Life And Death' which is written by Michael Giacchino and is on the original LOST soundtrack for series one. It is not exactly the same to this version but is as close as you will get. Its lovely.

Yunjin Kim is an amazing actress. Obviously this season has involved a lot of emotion for Sun, from seemingly losing her husband to having her child, but even before that in "House Of The Rising Sun", the first Sun Flashback episode, when she is shown crying because of her inability to leave Jin... she's just such a good actress.

One thing, the thombstone says he died 2004. At 3:22 on the right side of the stone, you clearly see the numbers 1974 and 2004, which obviously stands for the date of birth and death. In episode 5 of season 4, The Constant, the date is December 24th, meaning Jin will die within the next seven days.

Charlie's death scene contained the theme of life and death intermingled with Charlie's own theme. It was superb. Blended well. This is the life and death theme with Jin & Sun's theme which is why it sounds similar but different. Still pretty, but does not mix as well, IMO.
