I just got done working on the Chilli sub, just north of Peoria. I unloaded a buch of new ties there on the Trans Con. Theres gonna be 700,000 new ties on the transcon from witchita Kansas and chicago. 9 million new ties total this year on the BNSF country wide.

thats dumb....the economy is bad and theres people homeless and starving....yet BNSF is blowing extra money on batches of parts that contain about $100,000 worth each when they arent even needed.

I think bringing the signals up worked! It sounds like BNSF donated at least the signal with the bell to the Railroad Park. Check the message I left for all the details.

YAH SAW IT FUCKING BNSF I TRUCKED ALL THE WAY HERE TO SEE EM THOE here is the run down got here at 9ish i said lets go out my dad said noooooooo but in one hour we heard 4 trains so we go i taped one on up and got lucked out on bnsf at 10:30 then i got tons more vid the next day one u got to see is "ATSF/BNSF MEET PART TWO" its funny sort of also my light on my jvc cam makes for one simi good night shot thanks for commenting

I understand replacing broken/destroyed signals and bells that no longer work or signals that have a history of malfunctioning all the time, but I have never understood replacing perfectly good signals that work just fine. That's just a waste of money and resources. BNSF has been notorious for doing this kind of thing ever since they went on their e-bell rampage 10 years ago.

If I'm not mistaken, I believe that is the ex-ATSF Chillicothe Sub, which goes through Galesburg and was the Santa Fe's main route between Chicago and Los Angeles.

It's the Aurora Sub, which goes from Chicago to Savannah and up to LaCrosse

the Chillicothe Sub is about 2 hours south of Rochelle

Wow, BNSF tears down the old CB&Q depot and now they are completely replacing the crossings also. I've heard at least 4 crossings in Rochelle are getting completely replaced with all brand new signals, this being one of them. Looks like it won't be long before those old signals get demolished. Great video by the way!

and he said yah every single crossing from first st is going to the dump

dont think so washington st has a gs type one

and there is a new pole going up it looks to have a type three on it it was wraped up thoe
