the word namasensei taught is yuumei　「有名」, which is a na-adjective, and means fame.  they sound similar but yuumei has extended vowel sounds.　ゆうめい

na adjectives dont end with i, and when they do, the vowel before the i shud be an e.

i adjectives end with an i. yay for the obvious.
