i'm so glad there is a DIY apron! i've been wanting to make one for my boyfriend, but out of plastic because he does dishes at his work and always get soaked! i'm going to combine the rain pancho, and apron idea! hopefully it'll come out looking good =D

my sister took a 1 inch piece of her fabric and put it in as the tie before she sewed it u and it looks awsome (she folded th 1 inch piece in half length wise before puting it in)

you can also make longer, more matching waist tie with the other denim pant leg

just cut straight down, fold hot dog style, and stich

You could also use ribbon for the tie around the waist. It might be more comfortable if you use a wider ribbon

I guess more people have twine around the house from gardening and their garages that long pieces of ribbons. I thought about using the unused part of the jeans too.
