  • I took a plane from San Fransisco to Vancouver.

    Easy ride..

But from Vancouver to Frankfurt, Germany.

I swear I heard this song constantly.

"You should not have got on, this flight tonight"

Turbulence. And the unknown when I land.

    I was scared

  • Ahh that's a fantastic song and awakens fond memories **********

  • This song just seems relevant today.

  • Great ass song.

  • God Bless Joni, my fellow westerner, she wrote a very sweet song. But still I prefer the Nazareth version: it is so ominous and intense; like the airliner's engines are both on fire and it is requesting an emergency landing at McCarran...

  • Ahh, I love this song! Im glad I had parents who were into cool music. Nazareth are great live too

  • @xasthurhead Saaame haha.

  • One of the better cover tunes.

  • I was 15 years old my 1st concert Nazareth opened for Deep Purple.Razamanaz was always in the tape deck of my buds 65 camaro. It was a time of endless summers and total freedom. Those days were so sweet that I try not to remember them because of the mess we live in today.Too sad to remember the days when life was real and really rewarding

  • @drscot12 i was about 15 too when this came out,i agree times back then were golden

  • It's unreal that alot of people dont know much more nazareth than love hurts, which was just like the whole commercial song thing- all their other music kicks azz.

  • this is a lot like their other song, flying!

  • Anyone think that Heart "borrowed" the riff from this song for Barracuda?

  • @goldtop1226 This is not the "Barracuda" riff. It is, however, the galloping bass line that you hear in every Iron Maiden song.

  • @GuySperanza This Riff can't be Barracuda or what soever...this song is older...much older than a Maiden song...

  • What a fantastic album this was, I remember it well. They covered a song of Bob Dylan's on this album called"The ballad of Hollis Brown". If you are ever trippin' your ass off and want something to do, check it out. You're right, canar43g, a grossly underrated band.

    no dude!

    Nazareth KICK ASS!!!

    in 70's and now

  • side 1 of Loud'd'proud rocks from start to finish.

one of the best side 1's of any rock album.

"this flight 2nite" was the first song on side 2.

i remember when this was on radio in Montreal.

razamanaz, loud'n'proud, rampant and hair of the dog, 4 back to back to back to back beauties!

if not necessarily in this order.

  • Written by Joni Mitchell

  • Ha! Used to have the greatest hits LP a long time ago, in a galaxy far, far, away!

  • GREATEST SONG EVER!!

    ROCKON!!

  • I've loved this song since I was about ten years old (my older brother had the album and my dad was Scottish and loved the tune...convergence lol)...and I swear to all who read this...if you get on that flight tonight, you're doomed like I was!

You're going to meet the light of your life as I did...thought that I'd be a downer, didn't you? lol

  • This song and many others by Nazareth are perfect for driving hard down lonely, desolate North Dakota highways.

  • ROCK ON!

  • My little brother, when listening to this track....had reminded me at 2:44 of this song faded out?....almost forgotten that he was referring to the 8-track!! we were listening too!!!"way back when"!

  • lets rock!

  • this filght is right

  • Like Disss Shittt nazareth s firt best song

  • A great cover and easily the best thing Nazareth ever did.

  • I personally rank it a close second to "Whiskey Drinkin' Woman"

  • im pretty sure there were other great things they did and an album cover i wouldn't think is the best thing they did, the songs r what counts
