The only thing I can think is that maybe they thought For You Blue was more in sync with the "get-back" to basics approach - a tight, little blues number that might have fit better with the project. It's odd, though, that so many superb Harrisongs were either ignored, sloppily attempted or rejected outright. Isn't It A Pity and All Things Must Pass, in particular, were masterpieces that Paul and even a heroin-imparied Lennon could recognize as so. SO?...

I think it was George that did this, actually... He had the foresight to know that the Beatles wouldn't last for long. He saved the tracks for himself and offered this one for Let it Be.
