  • Sadly, I think that I like the Atari 2600 version better. Still neat though.

  • I still have my aquarius, astroasmash was awlways the same as the intellivision version t o me

  • I think your supposed to save the red guys...

  • @scleme316

Sadly, no. I mentioned in the video description that it is one of the aspects of the original game that is sorely missed. Even the score table shown at the start of the game tells you that shooting a red guy is worth 500 points. What kind of sick and twisted game awards points for shooting hostages?? ;)

  • @MattelAquarius Still VERY cool though!

  • @scleme316

Agreed! A Defender type game that looks pretty darn close, and has most play elements? Well done.

  • Looks quite playable!

  • wouw i play this in 1984 super memories :C

  • The engine sound sounds like an electronic Tuba Mouthpiece.

  • HAHA D-Fender. That is great! Awesome video.

  • Kind of more like a Scramble clone with Defender elements thrown in and an almost vector landscape :P

  • Must it really be suck? The Intellivision is a games machine, but was meant to turn into a computer. It never really pulled that off. That's why Mattel decided to release the Aquarius.

  • dynamic . . .

  • I think I had a clone of Defender on my Vic 20 that was better than this. Still nice try.

  • "Andes Attack" by Jeff "Yak" Minter perhaps?
