  • Im only 16 now, but i used to love watching mr benn with my blanky before going to bed when i was five, now sat here watching it with the same blanky XD Can honestly say the narrators voice is so soothing, and takes me back to when i didn't have a care in the world. I wish i never grew up :'[

  • love it xxxx wanna be young so muchhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh xxxxxx

  • I was lucky as well to see this repeated in the early 1980s. Loved it. Apparently there were once places by Film 4 to make a live action feature film of Mr Ben, John Hannah was going to be Mr Ben, Sir Ben Kingsley the shopkeeper and Gwyneth Paltrow Mr Ben's long lost love, he'd go through the magic door of the changing room to search for her when she went missing long ago...I'd have loved to see it but the film idea was shelved sadly.

  • @terriblethomas101 I don't think so buddy lol. When did you watch it then....what year was it aired for you to see it on tv?

  • My dad introduced me to mr benn, i have just turned 16. I love the retro feel of this!

  • When I was a kid I watched all mr Benn series ,loved em ,ime 41 now .but don't ya think that the shop keeper thaught this guy was messer as he never took any costume home with him did he ,haha

  • Excellent i'm 45 & remember this

  • i use to watch this <3

  • I'm 14 and this is probably one of the best cartoons I've seen, my 40 year old dad told me to come watch this and its brilliant

  • I'm in nostalgia land...

  • Mr Benn has self esteem issues. At 3:07 he sees himself as fatter than he really is.

  • I want to be Mr Benn when I grow up!

  • I've always been an ardent Bennite

  • I remember watching that as a kid

  • Happy memories of watching this at my nans house. Thanks for upload.

  • Top banana. I'm 42 and remember coming home from school at lunchtime to watch mr ben when we weren't allowed out!! it was watch with mother as I remember!!! God now I feel old!! :-)

  • @Harrietsophie lol I know how you feel (Ifeel bloody old in my fortys but still remember this with great fondness)

  • i loved watching this with my gran

  • He was the original Adam Ant :)

  • i love the narrator :)

  • Why does his neighbor have a moustache?

  • ahhhh!!! I loved loved loved mr. Benn!!! sniff!

  • why is ricky tomlinson his neighbour?

  • great days i remember days off school sitting in front of an open fire crisps and sweets, then mr benn would come on,bagpuss, wacky racers, fingermouse, great days.....what have the children got today to compare to this.

  • @bpenfold2007 Ahh your so right. Nice days without teenage mutant ninja turtles

  • @videomonkey2009

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles stopped airing a while ago, I think. Although things may be different in the UK.

  • @bpenfold2007 Pshhht, the good old days lived on! I watched all of the Mr. Benn episodes when I was younger, and I'm only 17!

  • if i remember there was only 13 ever made but when i was a nipper the show went on for ever ,,,,,lol those were the days lol .

  • @pinheed65 only 13!

  • @pinheed65 Ahh I do belive your right on this point of only 13 episodes. & like you it seemed a lot more as being a ankle nipping kid. Loveley days i remember. Times were very hard for us but if I could jump in a time machine and go back today I darn well would in the blink of an eye. anyway glad you enjoyed

  • @pinheed65 I beleive your right on only 13 ep Seemed more as a kid.

  • omgosh:)

    i had these on video:)

  • Memories, I used to love this !!!

  • im grateful my gran introduced me to this. im only 14, and somehow the thunderbirds are more familiar to me than horrid henry

  • @Zeppelinguy666 Thats because modern kids shows dont have any feel to them anymore. This is more simple yet way better. Thunderbirds is brilliant aswell, its way better than the lunar jim and super robot monkeys that are around today. I feel lucky that i was a kid in the 90's because all this was still on tv.

  • Man, this is beyond nostalgic. Absolutely brilliant. I'm 41 years old and this Tv series is so far back in my memory it had almost fallen off - thanks for taking me back to a seriously cosy feeling, mate. Proustian.

  • stephen i totally agree with you there :)

  • Wow this really brings me back...thanks for uploading this!!
