I hate idiots that do not know how to use a riot shields properly and just think its there to block bullets while they throw a million C4 at them :|

also, you tend to get covered a little less on your right side because the shield its attached to your left arm, so to avoid those deaths that "should have been impossible" turn slightly to the right.

Another setup is scavenger, hardline/danger close/ coldblooded (to avoid air support and uav, commando/ ninja (for when there are ppl using HB sensors, claymore as eqpt (best used with scavenger) with pp2000 silenced. Practice with the throwing knife for ppl wth tac knife & semtex.

I dont know if you knew but you neglected to mention that while flashbangs affect you with a riotshield, stun nades do not so they slow down everyone else but you.

Also, if you know the enemy is good at taking out riot shields, hang back and try to use your throwing knife.

when there is a sentex on your riot shield switch weapons and it will fall off

i play scavenger pro, danger close, commander pro, c4, m9 tacKnife. With a hand gun it takes no time flat to switch to secondary. use c4 to the best of your ability. When detonating c4, double tap your reload button to detonate it behind the riot shield. Bash only when you have to. C4 is your main weapon. If you can avoid bashing, do so. And dont forget to scavenge, scavenge, scavenge.

practice what you preach, u didnt get 1 kill with a throwing knife, and you only tried to throw it once and missed completly. sides that riot shield is the best with C4 danger close and a thumper. Good score but honestly that throwing knife might as well be a blast shield

wat I recommend as my first perk is scavenger cause say u miss or lose ur throwing knife u cud just scavenge but marothon is good to and also as secondary use a handgun(s) cause upull them out faster than anything else

sleight of hand is pretty usefel too, when an opponent shoots you, wait till he reloads then quickly switch weapons and kill him. prefer blast shield for riot too

I use the same layout except that I prefer blast shield to protect my self from semtex and grenade launcher's,that's the stuff they resort to when they see a riot shield.

@Josiah99a after your initial melee switch weapons twice quickly so your back to riot shield in a flash then hit melee again

Doesn't take long to switch to a usp and melée or shoot from a distance if you need to.

what i do is through stuns and then get to a good vantage point a throw my knife at them i dont got running around bashing people this never works you need to be a distraction for your teammates and if someone comes to close they get bashed

I use pretty much the same setup as you do, with the exceptions that I prefer to use smoke grenades (which is very helpful when capturing points), and blast shield for those bastards trying to semtex you.

DUDE i recommend you use SCAVENGER, COLD-BLOODED, COMANDO, stun grenade and throwing .. i've been using it for two days already and i am owning people.. you should try it but don't sprint to your targets.. use the throwing knife.. coz of scavenger you can get another 1

I've been giving the riot shield a go , what I've found that blast shield is really good with combating semtex as you will not die if they stick it to you and the noob tubes aren't so annoying . That alone has kept me running more kills then deaths and getting better and better . Cheers for posting this , good to see something thats not overly popular doing well .

@NeroZero2009 ya it defenitely is. i went 18-3 in team d with the riot sheild yesterday using these tips. one tip i would add, your throwing knife aimer appears directley in the middle of your right sheild just above the black strip on the sheild, once your get a feeling for this spot you can aim your throwing knife with out pulling it out, which helps a shit ton!

I never killed anyone with the ricocheting bullets though, sounds tough since they throw Semtex or knife you o_o

btw claymores are better for riot sheilds in search n destroy because u can camp 10 feet away defend urself while som1 else to going to the target. but all the perks this guy uses is great! i use em but there all pro lol. also try to get duel GIB's theyre like 2 p90's. add me on xbox live Blamefulmuffin. btw this is my gf's acount

The throwing knife is a separate piece of equipment from the knife you melee with. If you switch to your secondary weapon and melee, you'll still use a knife.

I replace marathon with the scavenger perk and after the first "bash" or melee, I quickly throw my throwing knife. since theyre so close, you have a high chance of hitting them (:
