While everyone is talking about tone here... I personally think that the only reason to use pedals is if you're trying to polish a turd amp.... (which I'm guilty of). The ONLY pedal that I would use (regardless of whatever amp I'm using, $300 or $3000..) Is the BBE Sonic Stomp... It restores clarity when you're playing at high volume! but it dosen't change the amp's tone. (Only usefull if you're relying on just ur amp for volume, no PA system. Great pedal, restores the balls of the amp! \m/
