  • School of Rock is no way to learn rock and roll. Learning rock in a school?! Are you serious?!

Elvis would be rolling over in his grave. So would Joe Strummer. And Hendrix. All of 'em.

  • freaking hell its like the original in fast forward

  • hahahah

  • they were missing Pat McNulty on lead guitar

  • I like the guitar solo in the middle, and the guitar work in general, the best, esp. ending the song. Good work from a serious floyd fan.

  • you know. it really pisses me off to see cock suckers like you guys, going around and putting shit on oher peoples videos on how it sucks, or its to fast. AND YA A PINK FLOYD SONG CAN AND WILL BE PLAYED WITH A LES PAUL. WHAT ARE OU GOING TO DO ABOUT IT BITCH

  • Way too fast but good other wise

  • Floyd did it better

  • Of course they did....

They set the standards for their own song, haha

  • reminds me of the primus cover, tempo wise, love this cover

  • Comment removed

  • Gilmour played a Les Paul ocassionally. I wanna say during the recording of the Wall, but don't quote me on it.

  • fuck you. it can, and i always do. so why dont you fuck off, and stop putting negative shit on peoples videos

  • Sorry, no negative shit intended. My excuses.

Best Regards to you and everyone.

  • Keyboard: good

Guitar: average, I change my mind about the solo at the end, it was good but the original was better, way better.

    Vocals: Blow

Drums: Me like how that tastes. Very Nice Job Drummer.

    Vocals: They Really Blow

    P.S.

The vocals suck. I hope you all moved on.

  • Where's your video, hater? I hope you move on as well. To a less bitter and jealous place.

Those who can, do. Those who can't, trash others on YouTube.

  • perfect. every note on beat and well played. Can't wait till I try out for the All Stars.

  • Really great version of this by some high school kids. It's honestly hard to find a much better version of this rarely played live song - even by The Floyd. They rock and the speed works - it's rock'n roll - not copy the Floyd note for note.

  • AWESOME! kudos for not spoiling

  • Omg it starts off great.... and it have me thinking your cover was going to be awesome..... but then the speed just became way too fast... oh and the last solo killed the song. I know its hard but I think that solo makes this song the greatest. overall it was cool.

    peace.

  • good cover, awesome solo at the end, hell of alot better than the foos version which spoilt it, i'm not bitching but i do think that it should be slower, good job though

  • what is the singer robert plant? slow it down and make it less punk rock.

  • they made it their own. sounds nice. stop bitching about the speed

  • You made a great job.

But you should have played it slower than this and you've lost the rythme through the whole song. And sometimes the vocal was out of tune.

  • Nice job. Great version of a classic. You guys definitely made it your own.

  • i don't think this would be good to lay back and get high too.

  • sorry guys, too fast, no feeling, no groove

  • You're wrong, it rocks - the point of covers it not to mimic them exactly but to add something of your own - they do that, and they're not PF, they're young musicians learning. They gave it a driving bluesy sound.

  • I didn't think it was terrible. They generally did a good job. And I know theyre learning, just trying to help them improve. I think making the song faster takes away from the sleaziness of the song, which is what this song is all about.

  • dude your wrong covers should play the real song not put their own twist in a great song

  • No, you're thinking of a "tribute" band, not a cover...if everyone covering a song just tried to copy it precisely, there'd be no f-ing point, would there? Just go see or listen to the original.

Tribute bands try to copy everything to a T, which PGSOR is not trying to do.

  • dude i know what im talkin about if we played free bird but played our own 2 minute solo that would suck people want to hear how the song was made not bands want to play it

  • go tell edie van halen that buddy. you really got me, cover, nothng like the original....tools version of no quarter AMAZING, originally done by led zeppelin, the other guy was right your thnking of tributes

  • actually its pretty similar he made it a little heavier and added some licks and a solo. trust me i know no quarter and tools version does suck and tribute or cover you are playing a song made by others. if you dont want to play it how they did then dont play it!

  • well thats your opinion on covers so yea idc. but tools version versus led zeppelin's version is wayyy different. the guitar is played differently for one...the drums are different. maynard uses a megaphone to sing the greater part of the song live. the effects that are put into the guitar are different. its in dropD. the keyboard part of the song is different. i dont think you no what you are talking about. i hope your not a musician because you sound like an idiot.

  • The tempo is all over the place. The song is supposed to have a laid back feel, but the drummer is pushing it.

  • talented guys... but... no feeling...(my opinion)

  • yeah too fast fucking sucks but there is a bass you fool

  • what are you talking about, the guy behind the lead guitarist is playing bass...

  • ugh... im sorry but i didnt like it. too fast... tempos changing... NO BASS?!?!?!.... doesnt feel like the same song to me

  • Wow, amazing cover!

  • Glad to see that the original Paul green SoR is still rockin' like always. The last show I went to was a radiohead show back in like, 2003 or 2004. Too long:\

    Keep it rockin!

  • they need a new singer,he's a cross between Mick jagger and Robert plant. which in my opinion does not work for any floyd tunes, but what ever good job anyways

  • awesome cover of the song...well done

  • Now THIS one! This is EXCELENT! Your singer has a lot of Robert Plant in his movement. & he's dead gorgeous!

    I'm 15. I'm allowed to say that!

  • really awesome

  • I'm very impressed. The "rockers" on the reality show wouldn't touch this one with a ten foot pole... or any Floyd for that matter.

  • well one guy did , he sang wish u were here, and it sucked

  • It would appear that their cover is largely better than that of the Foo Fighters!

  • i agree

  • Huhu

    Sean

  • the idiots who compete on that rock star supernova show should watch these kids to learn how to really vocalize rock songs....
