The Republicans are very crafty about Votor ID here in N.C. Like all things right wing, the issue is framed by fear: 'those people' are threatening to take something from 'us,'

in this case, an election. Ask any Republican (and I have) and, to a person, they all think voter fraud is a MAJOR problem that threatens the very survival of freedom, literally! That conservative echo chamber really gets the word out, even if its pure paranoid nonsense.

I live in NC and I don't drive due to a visual impairment. Are you saying that a state ID card (which I have) isn't acceptable because it's not a driver's license? That fails because of the Americans with Disabilities Act. I'm not quick to invoke the ADA for things, but I certainly would if necessary. Only the first 'A' is necessary to vote, though (and being 18+).
