I have always disliked the Ravens. I felt it was very hypocritical of the city of Baltimore to take the Browns. They had their hearts broken when the Colts left for Indy, then they go and steal another city's team. Baltimore should have been tried their hand at expansion again before stealing the Brownies.
I'm a die-hard Steelers fan & have very little fondness for the Browns, but I definitely respect them, their fans & the great rivalry we have with this history-rich team & city. The NFL certainly needs the Cleveland Browns and I was happy to see their city get their team back. The teams that now make the AFC North have always been and will always be some of the best and hardest-hitting games in football. Trust me, not all Steelers fans are jerks who rub your noses in anything. Most of us are OK.

So the Ravens were an "expansion" team, but they definitely had a great head start before you guys even got them (better than any other expansion team has ever had).

I have always disliked the Ravens. I felt it was very hypocritical of the city of Baltimore to take the Browns. They had their hearts broken when the Colts left for Indy, then they go and steal another city's team. Baltimore should have been tried their hand at expansion again before stealing the Brownies.

I'm a die-hard Steelers fan & have very little fondness for the Browns, but I definitely respect them, their fans & the great rivalry we have with this history-rich team & city. The NFL certainly needs the Cleveland Browns and I was happy to see their city get their team back. The teams that now make the AFC North have always been and will always be some of the best and hardest-hitting games in football. Trust me, not all Steelers fans are jerks who rub your noses in anything. Most of us are OK.

The same thing happened with the city of Indianapolis, the RCA dome was originally supposed to bring the city of Indianapolis an expansion MLB and NFL team. But Cincy blocked us from both just like Kent Cooke blocked your city from and expansion NFL team and after that we tried to get the Saints and were turned down so we had no choice but to take the Colts and THEIR COLORS. You people in Baltimore had a choice thanks to the city of Cleveland.

William Donald Shaffer built that stupid harborplace andf the Maryland science center that cost over 100 million back in 1981 that money could have been used for building a new stadium for the colts across memorial stadium. But Shaffer let the Bullets move to Landovder in 1972 because he wouldnt build a new arena for the Bullets. He almost lost my Os too

He was proposing O's play 61 games in Baltimore 20 and games in DC 1980 season.Then 41 games in Baltimore 41 and games in DC 1981 season. then by 5 years o's would been gone. and when 1987 EBW was gonna sell the team to a Miami group of investors were gonna buy the O's and moved them to Miami. Shaffer sat on his hands and didnt do anything.

I'm a "new Browns" fan because of this. I was only five when this happened, but I always wondered why my father liked a football team that didn't exist. When the Browns were reborn in 1999 I realized how possionate and dedicated Cleveland Browns fans are, and jumped on a bandwagon of a 2-14 expansion team. Besides I never liked those ugly black and YELLOW jerseys that other kids wore around.

After shopping his team around Modell signed for the Browns to move behind the city of Cleveland's back and charged them for the name and colors. When he signed the deal w/Balti, he was insistent on taking the name and history with him. Cleveland sued the hell out of him and the MD Stadium Authority to the point where he was forced to give everything back.

And the foundation of that '00 team WAS laid in Cleveland. You guys still had most of our old front office staff, including Ozzie Newsome. We were 11-5 in '94, and had the #1 ranked defense. We were the odds on Super Bowl favorite in the AFC in the '95 pre-season. Get it? So brag all you want about Balti's one and only championship in the last like 30 years, but there's still a huge asterisk next to it. Cleveland's still won10 pro sports championships compared to Balti's 8.

I read an article a few months ago in which Ozzie Newsome openly stated that the Browns were on the brink of a championship before moving, and that they brought the same system/philosophies to Baltimore after the move. So the Ravens were an "expansion" team, but they definitely had a great head start before you guys even got them (better than any other expansion team has ever had).

So just keep in mind that your team won that superbowl with 2 Cleveland Browns and the team's front office so as far as I'm concerned that superbowl trophy is no more stolen from that city of Cleveland then the Colts horse shoe is from the city of Baltimore. Now if you can accept that then as far as I'm concerned neither the Colts nor the Ravens are stolen teams and the same goes for the SB XXXV trophy.

The Colts aren't a stolen team, they left after 1983 we don't take credit for the 2006 Super Bowl dummy you move on. Teams move from city to city, no one cried worse then Brownie fans did in 1995 which is why the NFL helped bring a team back. But to wanna take credit for the 2000 Ravens five years into playing in Baltimore is a joke. Art Modell holding the Lombardi trophy I love to see all the crying Brownies fans faces when that great moment happened!
