@cocomorey1 The first flight at around 13.50pm is operated by a B777-300/ER and the evening run at 19.40 pm is a mix of Airbus A330/340, but mostly Airbus A330-200. I hope that helps :)

This looks like excellent food, homer. It just looks fantastic. The presentation is beautiful, the china is very nice, and the wine selection is great. I don't think you'd ever find such a great wine selection on United, unfortunately. Emirates really knows how to do it up. Very nice report, homer!

@xxiceyshotxx Word,man. My wife & I took a week of my vacation together,flying one of those you mentioned with 1 connector at O'Hare to SoCal. All we got were paper boxes of munchies for both flights. At the airport at 2:pm,finally left around 7:30 (Nov),got there at around 10:30. That lil bit of nothing for a couple of hundred each! Damn,man,they could've at least gave me a sandwich & side salad....

Wow, that's service, I'd pay more for the ticket to have a service like this. Some folks in NA think this is luxury, but this is how most large carriers should be. I remember the time when passengers were humans and not just a number they have to cram in a plane to generate max revenue, like most airlines now-days. They should all learn from Emirates and similar companies, like Virgin or Singapore AL, etc. Thanks for the upload.

I read the Gulf newspapers, listen to country music..and watch out of the window and to the airshow..it is my favourite thing..knowing where i am and being curious how it looks like and life may be down there..preferably sitting in the full sun:)

Once i was flying to LAX on Virgin Atlantic it was running 6 hour late and as we hit the coast of Newfoundland it was already dark, i was listening to the very start of Tchaikovskys Romeo & Juliet as i looked out my window the moon was full and only a few clouds in the winters sky i seen a fleet of fishing boats with their lights reflecting of the sea near a small lit up fishing port, i looked around and everyone was asleep in the dimed lights of the cabin it was all very hunting and strange.

Lol..not quite. But I think i said several times i could not make my mind up..and got the other one at the second serving. In first class, i loved to combine the 25 items from the 5 main dishes, lol. Unfortunately, they do not come around with the trolley anymore. But if you are really hungry like a bear, you still should be able to get a second meal, if you are nice to them - some flirting helps:)

This would suck, paying top business class dollars and getting the old class seats, happend to me in air muaritius as well so complained and got $500 back....yippy....

Next time best check the plane/flight/and seats when paying big bucks for business class..

Well, seats were not that bad after all..actually, they tend to give you even more space thn some of the modern shell seats. And the service was impeccable. So, if i had the choice between this service and more modern seats on some other airlines, but a less convincing service, I would still go for EK

So far, the A380 tickets are their most expensive, but Clark says it will drop down to normal levels.

Thank you for nice comment. Actually, they did not change crew uniform and the nice arab one is still being used when they wellcome and wish farewell to passengers; it is just during the flight that they wear these a bit more practical - though not as pretty - uniforms.

Und wieder toller video bericht. Ich bin selber in Business auf Emirates (A330-200) von Wien über Dubai nach Kairo (extra Umweg) geflogen. Die sitze sind "outdated". Wie finden Sie es?

Im Prinzip sind die Sitze nicht mehr "state of the art". Andererseits, nachdem eine Reihe rausgenommen wurde, hat man sehr viel Platz. Bin neugierig, wie mir die neuen Sitze gefallen werden (s.u.)- bin da nicht so sicher, ob man sich da nicht eingeengt fühlt - so einfach den Nachbarsitz mitbenutzen als Ablage scheint mir bei den festen hohen Zwischenstücken nicht mehr möglich.

It is a night flight, but the new improved ICE and the wide video screens should keep me going..lets see and hope they dont change equipment:)
